    LOOKING FOR TWO NEW TENANTS:

Hi, I’m currently a 1st year at Brookes! I’ve got a house which is a 15/20 minute walk from the Uni. It is a big house, huge garden, big kitchen with dining room and very modern! We are looking for 2 new tenants to join us, we are currently a group of 3, female, male and male. So preferably looking for a female. It is cheap at only £385 for a double room and £310 for the single (which is SO cheap compared to any sort of halls! And it is a VERY nice house – I can send pictures if you want to see!) Only problem is, we need 2 new tenants ASAP, if you have an offer from Brookes already, message me! Oh by the way, we cook together all the time so it’s a lot cheap for yourself eating like that! Basically eat like a family!

    Message me if you’re interested!
P.S Pref. no smokers. But if you do smoke, always smoke in the garden and not in your room.

Thanks! I'm sure you'll be hearing good news!

Yeah it wouldn't hurt at least you'll be able to know for sure and not have to wait for an email
Let's hope so I will call them probably tomorrow morning If I haven't heard anything until then...is it normal to take so long for them to reply after the interview? I keep thinking, no news good news but it isn't very comforting

    Hi there,

I have a conditional oxford brookes, however am not sure whether to firm Bartlett or brookes. I feel abit intimidated by the pressure at Bartlett, what is the course like at brookes? Do you work nearly whole the week or do you get to do things you enjoy outside your course aswell?

ps, the thread link you started isn't working..
    Try this link: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show...6#post46753836

    And where to start...!

Wherever you do Architecture it is an intense course. At every school of Architecture you get people who work 24/7. I don't know what it's like at the Bartlett so can't really compare!

At Brookes we definitely have time to go and do other things, and I think it is really important that you do. Taking time to go to galleries, museums, concerts, playing sport, or whatever you enjoy is something you need to do, both to give you some time away from Architecture (and architecture students) and also you need real world inspiration!

If you really manage your time well, most weeks you can keep evenings and weekends free. I've done 9-5, monday - friday this semester and it's working fine for me so far. Towards design handin it will be a bit more hektic though!

If you send me a PM i'll put you in touch with a current 2nd year who was at the Bartlett but then moved to Brookes so he should be able to give you a more informed answer!

same here! I keep making lists and trying to figure out how I'm going to fit all of my stuff in my bags even though I won't have to worry about any of that for a long time.

Oh of course! I don't envy you having to plan your packing so thoroughly.
I'm so bad at packing, it's truly shameful. I'd be doomed if I were going to university overseas.
All the lists I've made so far seem like they have so much stuff on them... It's a wonder how people actually get all their stuff to uni.... O.o

Do they socialise with actual Oxford uni students

I'm ridiculously excited for september now!! But I'm not such a big fan of their allocation policy though to be honest... Picking a minimum of 5 and being randomly allocated 1 just means I'm definitely more likely to get the 1 I liked the least knowing my luck
