Hi fellow GCSE students! We don't have long to wait! Anyway, I've noticed but a continuing pattern when browsing the GCSE forums that amuses me; on the GCSE prediction threads, the majority of people say their predictions are '10 A*'s' etc... it just baffles me how everyone can have the same predictions! Personally, my predictions are 2 A* 6 A's 4 B's. Who else agrees everyone else seems to have A* predictions...? It's tiresome, yet amusing!

Yeah all our predicted grades were made in Year 7! Everyone has mostly A's and A*'s and nobody is going to meet even half of them!

Ahhh AQA Geography, it's a decent course. I did it in Year 9 and 10. Got an A in population, tourism and urban environments then an A* in ecosystems, tectonic activity and rivers with an A in my rivers coursework. Got an A overall in it
Yes, I found it quite interesting. our coursework was on a town and it's decline. We went to Bangor and did a survey and studied the land use which I quite enjoyed! We did the same topics then? I quite enjoyed tourism surprisingly, and tectonics.

    I saw that pattern too

And I was hurt to get negged for most likely listing my predictions as including a few B's(I'll let you know I do not intend to get more than 1/2 B's)

The maps one didn't go so well.

The one about population change and tourism was good.
I'm sure you will be absolutely fine we didn't have anything about maps. We just did 2 written exams and quite an intense controlled assessment! :P

I found the human paper far more interesting. For my coursework we went to a river and took measurements on velocity of the water, depth and width of a river 20 times (every 20m). This day included tons of walking and getting wet, I was not amused

Yeah that's what our school chose for the previous year before me! I really enjoyed the human topics too! Although my whole year group that did geography thought all the human topics were boring what other subjects do you do?

Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, R.E, Spanish and Geography. Really wished I picked French/History instead of R.E but I did finish it a year early and you?

    Lucky!

In a world where you can order pizza online and have it delivered quicker than an ambulance takes to arrive, I really don't see why we can't just get it all via a secure email or account or whatever. I appreciate this does happen with some boards but in 2013 this really should be universal by now...

see, I was quite confident and wasn't nervous until my parents asked me to not buy my 6th form clothes until after Thursday... just in case i'm not allowed back to my school 0_0
Probably the logical option, but it still made me so nervous

    2 more days to go...

Tuesday, Wednesday and then that is it!

Btw, my parents insist on being there when I open them - I want to be completely alone - is this wrong?

No I feel exactly the same way! Whether my results are good or bad I want to see them myself and have time to think about it all!
