Six of one half a dozen of another.

Van Gaal in general over his days at Barcelona and Bayern has been notoriously known for bringing through youth.
Been meaning to quote you about this for a few days actually. Why is the best youth player in our squad (Andreas) constantly overlooked by Van Gaal? Lingard I don't really count as a youth, he's 22, CBJ well his hand was forced.

Because Mata, Rooney and Herrera play in that position and are clearly better than him. He realistically is only better than Fellaini at AM at this moment in time.

Lingard is 22 but he started being given chances under Van Gaal and has been at United for some time. You'd say he has made his career at the very least.

Injuries probably have forced him to use certain players but I think maybe with the overdepleted team he doesn't want to take a risk with other parts of the team and uses the senior players.

You had absolutely no idea who he was at 6 o'clock this evening.
I had (he's no Regan Poole), but you seem to have missed the non-srsness of my post

Because he ardently argued for Van Gaal's positive influence on bringing through youth!!!

Imagine going on TSR at half time of a game you're at tho

Memphis is the quintessential flat-track bully.

You've got to give credit to Rashford for taking his chance. Absolute fair play. His deployment was a necessity - and I actually have sympathy for LVG on the injury front at this stage - but he grasped his chance well.

Also, some cracking ties from the Europa League. Spurs vs Dortmund, United vs Liverpool and Villarreal vs Leverkusen.

The only issue is, when Mourinho is inevitably appointed in the summer, all that valuable experience the youth players got will be wasted. They'll all be sent on pointless loans and Mourinho will go spend another 250mil on experienced players.

Not ideal for the PL sides, really. Only one advancing to the final eight I expect.

That's a huge assumption. Mourinho may ignore and neglect the youth but possibly he may have a change of heart at United? I think its unfair to make claims when he hasn't even got to work at United. Who knows? Woodward may even **** it up and Mourinho may never sign.

Yeah true but there's only 1 Italian side left in the tournament so we'll pick up more coefficient points. Regardless, at the very least one English side will make it to the quarters which is decent considering we barely gone far in European competitions in recent times.
