Sorry this is late. Is this an admission amongst the Liberal Party, that Social Democracy, is no longer an important or dare it be said, a non-issue?

You talk of the confused platform between your party and the Liberal Democrats. Isn't it a platform your party ruthlessly sought to exploit between 2005 and 2010 is it not?

If you are a genuine Liberal in your belief do you believe that such a party should hold the view that other parties should be forced to change their names?
We now represent liberalism, leaving social democracy to other parties. As a party we feel that defending and promoting liberalism is our primary goal.

You need to get over the things we have done in the past - we may have used Lib Dem policies in the past or benefited from their RL success, but so have all parties here at some point. I'm not sure why you're fixated about events from 2005-2010, as in HOC terms they are ancient history.

If parties wish to change their names, that is entirely up to them. We have done so - a collective party decision that will hopefully benefit the party. Parties should not be forced to change names though by external forces or legislation.

But it does beg the question of what distinguishes you from the Libertarians who are, by name, defenders of a certain form of liberalism? It seems an odd shift to go from the centre of the political spectrum to the wastes of the political right when you could just as easily have become a social democratic party and left liberty and liberalism to the folk who wish we lived in the eighteenth century.

I voted for Labour - despite the pacifist foreign policy line. I nearly voted for the Bepe Grillo wannabe though.

I must admit I had absolutely no idea this whole mock-political set-up even existed. It's very impressive.
Great stuff. Stick around and join a party

100 votes since the Mass PM. That's a 50 vote an hour rate. If that rate keeps up until Monday, which obviously it won't, we'd have a turnout of 4800, which obviously we won't.
Man I hate things like this. I swear that there's been a 40% rise in pointless pointing out of imagined trends over the past year.

Naturally, I can't release the results of the votes right now, but I will keep a record of them (privately on my own machine) and then maybe release them when the result is known for a bit of post election analysis. I don't make any promises however in case something makes me realise that it's a bad idea to release "unfinished" results.
Yeah keep a record of them, might be useful for something I want to do post-election.

    Nice!

Do the candidates think that 'Beliebers' should be able to receive help for their condition on the NHS?
Yes, but in the same way that I believe that smokers should be helped to quit. I do, but ironically.

Anybody think we should have an exit poll?
    Not even slightly.

Might be quite interesting. I find my wild prediction in the AD HoC changing in my mind every minute somebody else posts.

Libertarians already repealed "stop and search" - Liberal manifesto promise.

It must be stressed that the libertarians are against monopolies as they by definition impose on economic freedom. So the competitive and efficient theoretical economy proposed is the purest form of victory through freedom that there is.

Anybody think we should have an exit poll?
Absolutely not. It will be completely and utterly wrong and if it's by some miracle right it ruins the election result.

OK then, if that is the case, why did you express your support for an Amendment which would have restricted parties in the choosing of their names?

It wasn't quite as bad as plucking a random figure from thin air - I used maths, but I take you're point.

Well yeah but over 100% of maths used on TSR is of pretty poor quality.

Okay, this is rather worrying. As far as I know; the permissions are set up how they should be. In fact, I was even asked about this today and to double check it I went through the edit poll options, made sure the right restrictions were in place and then saved it. I even did this twice to make sure and that's now in the thread history for those with the powers to check it.

I'm going to investigate this after my dinner.

which is somewhat ironic for a forum on which most members claim to have A*'s in their Maths GCSE's and A-Levels...
