When I was applying I sent off my application in early Novemember and I didn't hear back from Imperial until late February! Don't worry if you haven't heard back yet, no news is good news
    Good luck with your application!
Thanks so much- I sent mine off in September so hopefully I will hear back from them soon

A moment ago I received an email from Imperial's physics department acknowledging the school transcripts I sent them exactly two weeks ago (21st October). So I guess we shouldn't worry too much if it takes them two weeks to just read an email.

Any fellow design engineering applicants out there? First post so here goes the standard stuff:
    AS achieved:
AAA in Maths mei (94 ums), Further Maths mei (85 ums) and Portuguese
    A2 predicted:
A*A*A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Economics and an already-achieved A* in Portuguese.
Hey there! I applied for Design Engineering too. Have you heard anything from them yet? And can I ask where else did you apply?

    Hi
Has anyone done the MAT test, if so how was it?
Also when do you think they will be giving out offers for maths courses?
Yh, I did it I think I got somewhere between 52-60 for like a worst case scenario. Hopefully it's decent enough as I think anywhere sort of 50+ will be enough for them to consider you. My friend got around 50 last year and got an A*A*A offer.
I believe last year they gave out Maths offers in batches with the highest MAT scores in the first batch etc. They'll probably start late Nov/early Dec until maybe Feb/March.

Same, I've also only received the confirmation email. I applied to the same courses except Oxford, (just bc I didn't want to do general engineering) and applied to Glasgow for PDE instead. I still haven't got any offers though.

Any one know if Imperial has an acceptable score in MAT for straight Computer Science? Or if MAT and STEP are not needed for straight CS?

    THanks

Did they ask you for transcripts if so what subjects and what exams did you show them?

I don't think Imperial usually give STEP offers for computing, maybe if you're a borderline applicant but otherwise they don't.

They didn't ask for them explicitly but in the acknowledgement email I received after I applied it's mentioned:
"For non-A Level applicants we typically want to know the results of all qualifications and examinations already taken during your final three years of school education. If it was not possible to include your individual numerical marks for specific exams, or school transcript and/or copies of certificates covering these three years for the qualifications on your UCAS form, then please email them to [email protected] quoting your UCAS ID. Without these your application will be delayed."

I'm an EU applicant and so decided to send them the transcripts as specified.
