It's too late to make changes I'm afraid (and even if it wasn't you need to speak to your universities directly not UCAS - UCAS can do very little at this point).

There's very little chance you'll end up with your insurance choice. Only about 8% of people do - because most firm choices will accept grades below the offer (often a lot lower).

It is worth emailing your insurance today (email their admissions office) and explaining that if your firm reject you then you would not want to take up a place with them and would like to be placed in clearing ASAP. That means when you ring on Thrusday morning (IF you miss your firm grades and IF your firm reject you) then you can tell them they already have intructions in writing about your wishes.

You can check it but it will be offline that early. UCAS wont make track live until their phonelines are open. Their phonlines open at 7:30am.
    Get more sleep!

Call them up (and follow up with an email) and let them know that if you're unsuccessful with your first choice course you would like to be considered for alternatives (especially the one you prefer) before they reject you.

TBH I doubt you'd be rejected with AAA for an A*AA English offer at Exeter unless they've had a bumper year which given their VC is all over the press saying how difficult this year will be for universities doesn't seem likely
so i can check to see whether ive been accepted at my firm at 7:50?

You can check to see whether you firm and insurance have made a decision and notified UCAS at some point between 7:30am and 8am yes

See the first post of this thread for more details about Track on results day.

Gonna check my results at 6am when they get emailed to me, if I get AAB I'm going to have a torturous 1 hour 30 minute wait to see if Newcastle let me in. Ugh!

Erm, How is it showing off If i didnt even get a C in them.
It isnt hard to get a D through learning it the day before. Showing off would be me learning the day before and getting an A*.
I was doing Doing STEP since late april ish as Cambridge care infinately more about step then a levels so i was getting my priorities right. Luckily i did ok in step and it might just pull me through.
Plus i was expecting an M5 95 but that didnt go as planned so my retarded plan went to shits and had to try and learn D2 otherwise I only would have needed 10.

"normally" students start preparing for STEP in January when they receive their offer. You could've got everything right had you started preparing for everything at the right time maybe? Anyway I hope you'll be successful but my personal opinion is that you were too reckless.

Does anyone have Welsh Baccalaureate as part of their offer?
I do, counting on it to save me

There's no need to be rude. She was only offering advice based on what she knows. She doesn't claim to be an admissions tutor and know everything.
It's extremely irresponsible of you to have repeatedly left revision to the morning of or night before an exam. That's your problem and no one else's.
But I hope you still do well and grade boundaries are in your favour. Good luck

Hi there, I failed to obtain an offer from my firm for economics as i failed a maths exam which was required for me to get in. I then asked if i could switch to a course which was listed in the clearing vacancies and they said they would phone me back and it was probable. They didnt ring so this morning I rang up to ask to ask for an update and they basically said the course was now full despite being on clearing still. Do you think they are rejecting me because my A level results aren't good enough since ucas have my results and they have access to them?

NOW I'm panicking. Was pretty chill up to this week, in 'ignorance is bliss' mode, but I'll soon lose that ignorance :afraid:

Seriously doubting that I met my firm offer, at A*AA. Too bad - I really liked Durham. At least I've known this for a while and I've come to terms with it. I am in a good position in that I like my insurance choice as well, but I know there'll be a lingering sense of failure if I don't get into the firm.

I wish you all the best of luck

If you meet AND exceed your offer. If you just meet your firm offer then you aren't eligible.

LSE don't take part in adjustment.

Durham might - but be aware they've treated clearing applicants like **** for a number of years and seem to struggle to understand how clearing or adjustment works (so given you get 5 days in total to sort out an adjustment place they might not be the best option).

Yh I know it is I didn't blame anyone else for that. I knew the moment i got my offer I wasn't going to meet it since I knew I won't get an A* in Physics.
Yeh I know I am irresponsible and I don't expect them to take me hence why I am preparing for clearing.
    Thanks, gl to you aswell.

Maybe prepare for clearing but remember you still don't know what your grades are yet. Thanks

Yes! I definitely consider myself a lot more nervous today considering my friend offered me a lift to and from the school on Thursday - just the thought of results day makes me feel sick now
Aww! I've got something planned for tomorrow to take my mind off it but today the only thing to take my mind off it is a driving lesson later! Urghhh

Read the first post of this thread here: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=4236276

They aren't sent to anyone; they're accessible to all on the exam boards' own websites but the above thread has the links pending for them which would activate when the grade boundaries become available.
