No..... Maths mostly everyone will get interviews. >80% closer to 90(due to confidence in step).

    <40% get Offers.
Of them <45% are Accepted (i.e. achieve the offer)
(And fewer actually meet the Offer but Cambridge do admit some near misses.)

They do issue a much higher proportion of Maths offers than for other courses.

And even then 50% fail to hit the STEP requirement - despite working flat out on it for months. STEP is tough...
47% "pass rate" for MAT in 2014.

    Just sayin'

... only 1/3rd of these will get offers.

Well you gotta fill up the class right. You cant have a class of 100 student not making enough revenue for the uni.

Average is not pass rate ==" Pass rate (if such a term existed would refer to average of acceptance) which is 72

"pass rate" = number offered interview.

    Hence inverted commas.

Then we have different ideas of pass - your idea is interview.

While my idea of pass is offer.

Why would you not strive for the mark of offer instead of mark of interview.

Okay, 47 divided by 3, would be about 16.

Is 47 divided by 3 not approximately 16? Or does STEP not test arithmetic? Guess I should have applied to Cambridge then :P
