While I hate the tab it's, for once, not a bad article
Quite a poor read to be fair, essentially tries to take a moral high ground but calling the left boring gits and making some cracking generalisations. But yeah the tab is garbage  I hadn't looked at anything on it for ages for good reason.

Yes! Were you born there?

If I wasn't engaged I move to Norway, find a nice woman and settle down there but yeah, not going to happen
Nope, I'm a true half - blood through my father who came here to study. You'll have a seriously hard time getting a job in Norway btw. They don't recognise UK qualifications often.

Does anyone get the feeling we'd be better off in Norway or Sweden... Not Denmark, Denmark is full of brunettes and I prefer blondes
*gasp*

In my short life, I've learnt Brunettes > Blondes

Sturgeon's absolutely right, all nations SHOULD get a vote on whether it leaves the EU. It isn't fair, say, if 100% of English people vote YES and 100% of Scots NO that we do what the English say (because there are more English people) - each nation should have it's own referendum and only leave the EU if all 4 agree to leave.

We are all part of the UK, but sovereignty should still exist within your own region unless specified otherwise. The North of England should have a right to split with the South should they wish. If I was in Scotland and England had just elected Tory, but my government was SNP, I expect Scotland to have the right to differ on England to alot of issues. If Northern Ireland vote to leave Europe, but the rest to stay NI should have the option of staying put in Europe or leaving the UK AND Europe.

I don't share this "we must preserve the Union" bull, economically it is better to stay united but if they act as separate entities but you force one to mimic the other, they should be entitled to separate.
Foreign policy is not devolved, the whole country decides. Scotland has no more right of a veto than Penistone, Yorkshire or England. We decide as a country.

No, it's absolutely terrible, right from the very first notion that students must be at least middle class, and that there's no working class people going into further education. Whoever wrote that is a good 50 years out of touch.

I should have explained, they don't recognise them unless you are a Norwegian citizen. The point being that either it came from a Norwegian university, came from an EU university but as a Norwegian citizen or it doesn't count. They still acknowledge that the UK still has the best universities in Europe, although Norway also emphasises that you should, instead, study locally, I think Norwegian unis have free tuition as well.

Norway is fiercely inward and patriotic, so I expect most of them to return home to work anyway.

Do you support the dumb blonde hypothesis? Honestly, I think blondes are, on average, more prone to "blonde" moments, statistically so.

Any time I've been, it is funny to notice about Norway and Norwegians some differences which so sharply contrast with me, and the Irish behaviour, (NI may be British btw, but the people are definitely more similar to Irish)

For instance Norwegians are very similar to Germans, incredibly punctual (turning up late is an insult) serious, very little conversation during meals, obsessed with the weather, sun seekers, not humourous (and often their jokes are to do with inferiority) viciously divided between a socially conservative older population and a socialist younger generation (stronger divide than in the UK) but also £10 a pint.

Also, there must be a template to how Norwegians are made, they all act in pretty much the same way.

Ah okay, so how do immigrants to Norway get jobs without Norwegian degrees? Say I had a Business BA with Economics MSc from Cambridge (I don't ), they wouldn't take that into account if I relocated before getting a job?

Most Norwegian tuition is free, there are a few schools that charge (BI being the one I know of).

Norway is indeed rather patriotic, I like it

Norwegians are worse than Germans in that regard, it's rather annoying, I lived with Norwegians for 2 years, great fun but also rather annoying and the jokes about themselves that no one liked as they were only fun to them. They'd also huddle up and speak only Norwegian despite parts of the group being English only although these are those from Oslo... Oslo ******s.

Alcohol is extortion!

Now Sugar has left labour and said he made the decision months ago, I laugh at all those people using him being a labour peer to argue that labour and pro business and pro enterprise
