Fair enough!
seeing as i just left that statement rather impolitely, i'll merely restate that one can learn and study more easily at a private school. and that defines lots of the academic differences between private and state systems...

I don't think exam results measure intelligence though, which might be where I differ.
I reckon exam results would vary HUGELY depending on the school, but not necessarily intelligence.

Like I think if I'd gone to the local school, I don't think I'd be any stupider. I wouldn't have achieved as good results, but...
this i agree with. exam results are not a measure of intelligence, but how good you are at doing some exam. yes there is some overlap between intelligence and and exam ability. but now we're really getting into the problem of asking 'What is intelligence?'

Mal, it's my school. Gotta represent, innit?

representing your school is different to representing the ''types'' of schools. especially when you've not experienced a private school to judge the difference in your opinion. anyway i'd like to move on i'm getting bored!

thats a bit harsh mals.
I'm judging the difference and I've only gone to state school? Doesn't mean that i can't have an opinion just bcos I've only gone to the other.

no it's not. it was put nicely actually. it's just some of the things led has stated are just a matter of opinion and defence talk.

yes you can have an opinion but that's all it is..an opinion. and your opinions were fine...

Oh nevermind. forget it. i'm confusing myself. i'm a bit dazed; i've just woken up:tongue:
