Is that different to a first class stamp? Is it exempt from the strike?

I'm a complete noob when it comes to fail mail

Special delivery's £4.95 and will have it there before 1pm the next day and has so far not been affected by the strikes.

If I get one! Still, at least I'll find out fairly soon (4 weeks!).
Nope, I've done the French essay but still need to write the History one. I'm sending it off Thursday/Friday but it has to get there by Monday and I'm worried about the postal strike...
Have you sent yours off yet? How long are your essays?
Wait, what? who? WHEN?! **** I didn't realise it was that soon.... Haven't done my German one yet, and apparently I need to submit a history one to show I can argue and write good English, but I reckon I could get away with submitting one of my good research essays from last year (my teacher said it'd be good for us to do extra essay, at the time I didn't agree with him but I do now!).

How long's your French one? I was thinking around 350 words would do for the German, and that I'd do it on the play we're studying for A2.

I know! And 7-8 weeks until we find out whether we've got in or not if we do get interviewed (I didn't believe the person that told me this, I actually got my calendar out :p:).
My French one is about 900 words so far, will probably end up being just under 1,000 when I've finished the conclusion. I feel sorry for whoever has to read it - pollution/energy is such a boring topic! A play sounds great because you'll get to talk about it more at interview, and it'll make you look really suitable for their lit-heavy course.

WHAT??! 1,000 words in French??! I'll never manage that much in German I'd be here for a week! God why did I apply to Oxford... so stupid...

I've decided to go cold turkey on track now :p:
Whatever happens is going to happen, and I'll receive the email when I hear. I'm not going to do any more of this compulsive checking every 5 minutes; it's self destructive and is making the wait feel even longer!
