Bad news guys - heavy rain is predicted for Saturday. We may have to hold this meet inside a pub.

Very true, but I wasn't aware that excitement was what the meet was geared towards :awesome:.

Well all I was thinking was, we're in London where there's a billion and one things to do and we resolve on a pub?

Oh I agee, but if it's raining people may be less inclined to move around very much. Ultimately, sitting in the park has never been something I have particularly wanted to do in London either, but what ever you do has to be fit for purpose I suppose - which I assumed to be conversation, drinking and general frivolity.

What would you suggest?

No idea, I'm usually on my own in London so can buzz around the places I enjoy - the British Museum for example. Just not really a big drinker and am less inclined to fritter away money on booze or glasses of coke.

I tend to be the same, usually with only one friend or a GF etc and so we go to galleries, markets and all sorts of places. London is a nice place to just walk around and I've been half-lost many times. I think such things are far harder in large(r) groups though and pubs/parks etc tend to be agreeable to all, which is presumeably the logic.

It could indeed end up being rather expensive though that's a good point.

If there's heavy rain we still have plenty of options; obviously the pub but there's museums/galleries as Adorno suggests, stuff like Madame Tussauds and all the indoor touristy stuff, cheap foodie places that don't mind us sitting around chatting, cafés. Or we could play a giant Mornington Crescent game, play Weeping Angels hunting etc.

The rain in London at the moment tends to be heavy in very short patches. I suggest we stick to the current plan atm, if it happens to rain heavily we can find a pub while it calms down. And if it continues, we can discuss in person what we fancy doing.

You just pick someone and hunt them, moving only when they're not looking. Or when anyone is looking.

Can't wait to meet more HoC people. So far I've only met 3, and two of those were in the last week. Might even have some money if jobcentre pay me.
