At the start of any season, I'd take either the League Cup or the FA Cup. Marginally in favour of winning the FA Cup but you guys make it out like the FA Cup is the holy grail.

Tbh the fact that there are two cups is probably part of the reason the FA cup has gone down in terms of prestige.

They should ditch the league cup to encourage people to actually respect the FA cup a bit more again.

We all know the reason they do this. Last year it became even bigger than the CL and PL combined

'The role meant he had the responsibility of protecting the Arsenal back four in crunch games against Manchester United and Chelsea. Against the likes of Michael Essien andJohn Obi Mikel, the 18-year-old was praised for showing great physical strength during the game. He made seven appearances during the month of January as he continued his partnership with Alex Song at the centre of Arsenal's midfield. Then England manager Fabio Capello described him as “the future" and declared his intention to give him the ‘holding role’ for England after he watched the 19-year-old hold down a midfield place for Arsenal during the course of the season.'

Was reading up to see tf is going on with Wilshere, and saw this. The question is, if he could play DMF at age 18, why cant he do it now?

We haven't played Leyton Orient since 74 lad.

Is this opposed to you scraping a win against a side heading for league 1 in the FA cup semi (lol @ the comp last year piss easy win for you) by hoofing it into the box (total football yeah  ) with a Mert equaliser, grinding to pens and winning a lottery and then cue to selfies and jumping up and down. Embarrassing.

people take selfies sitting on the toilet now, is winning a FA cup semi final, less justifiable reason to take a selfie?

Don't remember that, but if they did its a ****ing disgrace and I'd fine the lot of them.

Football selfies like that are cringe. For a so called "big club" to get so gassed after a penalty win against a championship side is just an embarrassment to the club. Funny thing is Wenger was embarrassed himself, had a look on his face like "what the **** are they doing".

Rich coming from a Chelsea fan, who jumped ship when he realised his 150m investment had only put them one point above us.

Ridiculous statement we all saw it for what it was, a cup win in a competition where teams put out more often than not strong sides.

The only reason someone would rate the lc and fa cup the same is for teams who need it to get into Europe, but then I guess you bottled on that front last season too...

    Villa at home this weekend.

Looks like they're trying to finalise a few deals too so they may well not be fielding a settled side.

Interested to see whether Gabriel makes his debut as expected.

I wouldn't say it's marginal. I consider the league cup a minor trophy, not a major like the CL or League (FA Cup, whilst considered a major trophy is behind those two though, obviously).

I saw it as a tainted trophy you won because Chelsea, City, United were all knocked out without you playing them and Hull ****ing City in the final which you then nearly messed up. Do you really expect anyone to classify it as a top win when Wigan Athletic and Hull City were your semi final and final matches?

Lmfao. The FA Cup is not a major trophy. It's just a domestic trophy you can win after beating just 6 teams.

And when you get home draws the whole way through and then Wigan and Hull City in the semi and final it's hardly an achievement is it
