Practice is absolutely key. There are tons of worksheets out there for Maths, which can be found from a simple google search! They are absolutely invaluable as you can familiarise yourself with the method.
Sup, I'm Carthaginian, history and computer science nerd.
I also love video editing.

Man, I wish I was still in year 11 :frown:
Hey, I'm Ali from Northumberland.
I'm currently studying for 11 GCSEs:
Maths
Further Maths
English Literature
English Language
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
Latin
History
Geography
French

I think I'm fairly prepared but I've chosen a difficult bunch of subjects! I'm determined to get into the best university possible. My favourite subjects are maths, physics, French and history currently but that could easily change!
Hi all! I am William from Northern Ireland!

I am doing 10 GCSE's: (ALL CCEA- Anyone else doing CCEA?)

- English Lit (B)
- English Lang (B)
- Spnnish (B)
- Biology (A)
- Physics (A*)
- Chemistry (A*)
- RS (A)
- Maths (A*)
- Further Maths (A*)
- History (A*)

The brackets are the grades I'm aiming for.

I will do 4 A-levels, I haven't decided what ones, here is my not so short shortlist: History, Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Biology Chemistry or Politics

And because I am doing CCEA the grading system doesn't change for me, thankfully!!

HI Fatima! I do further maths. I haven't heard of the 105 paper- so I must be on a different exam board (CCEA!) A lot of FM is like physics (forces and stuff), I feel as if a big portion of it doesn't feel like proper maths(if you know what I mean?).

To revise I use a mini whiteboard and I just do practice questions from my textbook (It is good if the answers are at the back, if they aren't you might be able to find them on the internet). And if you do not understand a question ask your teacher or your friend (or you can probably ask on here)

I really enjoy FM, it is challenging but that is what makes it fun!
Does anyone know any good apps or websites to make a study planner?

I have a new computer science teacher and we are starting a new controlled assessment but I'm so worried because whilst my other teacher explained it so well, the new teacher we have has a very different teaching style and I have barely any idea on how I'm meant to approach the task.
Hi guys! I'm rainbowcthulu. I'm taking 11/12 GCSEs (one is a level 2 certificate) in these subjects:

English Literature (AQA)
English Language (AQA)
Maths (Edexcel)
Further Maths (Edexcel Level 2 Certificate)
Biology (AQA)
Chemistry (OCR)
Physics (AQA)
Computer Science (OCR)
Business Studies (OCR)
French (Edexcel)
Geography (WJEC)
Product Design (WJEC)

My favourite subjects are Maths, Computer Science, Biology and Physics and I hope to get into King's College London Mathematics School next year to do A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Physics. I'd really, really like to go to Cambridge University to study Computer Science, and specialise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

I don't think it'd be true to say I'm not nervous about the new GCSEs, but I try and just take each day as it comes and try to maximise my learning. I try and forget when the teachers in assembly say "Year 11 only X days until your exams start!"

Hi rainbowcthulu!

It seems like you have created a clear path for yourself, which is definitely good! The assemblies are only to scare those who are not inclined to do work, into doing work, but it seems like you're pretty confident, so I doubt that's the case for you  I too am interested in computer science, and I am actually planning on taking the same A-level subjects as you!

Good luck!

I have a new geography teacher this year taking over our controlled assessment, and trust me she teaches it so differently to my old teacher. Every teacher has a different teaching style and it will get some time to get used to it. I'd say that if you are struggling, don't be afraid to ask your teacher for help, tell them that you are not understanding and they'll help you. If you don't want to do that, perhaps you could ask your classmates to help you with it?
