Strong maths. Don't talk to me about average points, talk to me about NET points...
10 points, ffs this cold is killing me.

    Strong nonce reference though.

Look at West Ham, that period when they didn't win many games was because they didn't have any of: Lanzini, Payet and Sakho. We only need to lose one Santi Cazorla to unravel our season.

A pundit was saying look at what Wenger has done since he joined, and that it shows he deserves to go when HE wants to. Other than the flawed logic (so if a manager does well for 5 years, he should stay no matter what for the next decade or two?!), let's compare:

    20 years before Wenger

    First Division: 88/89, 90/91
    FA Cup: 78/79, 92/93
    League Cup: 86/87, 92/93
    Euro Cup Winner's Cup: 93/94

    General league position: Around 4th
General European performance: First rounds of UEFA Cup

    Wenger's 20 years

    Premier League: 97/98, 01/02, 03/04
    FA Cup: 97/98, 01/02, 02/03, 04/05, 13/14, 14/15

General league position: 4th with the odd 3rd
General European performance: First knockout round of Champions League

Sounds like all he's done better is win the F.A. a couple more times after it stopped meaning anything. Certainly the last decade makes dire reading. It's easy to forget how many points behind the other teams Arsenal finish every season. It's a lot.
Fair, but don't forget Wenger managed us when resources were limited and moved us to a new stadium. He did this while competing with the emergence of Chelsea and Man City. Surely that's worth something?

Unless we end the season a la 2012-13, Wenger is set for his worst season in charge. And that is after the "financially constrained" excuse dumped him.

Maybe, but when he took over he had to contend with the emergence of Man Utd and Leeds, and he's been spending like he's had limited resources for years. He's had a large budget for many years, which has got larger every year because he usually doesn't spend most of it and lets other teams get the players.

Chelsea didn't pose a problem for Man Utd themselves, because they worked even harder. Meanwhile, coupled with the happy loss of his tough players and not replacing them with steel, Arsenal just fell behind.

Out of the FA Cup and will be out of the Champions League on Wednesday. If we beat Everton on Saturday maybe we can make a late title push?

    It's a big if.

We tend to exit the Champions League with a win (except in our other "bottling seasons" 2010-11 and 2013-14). So depending on how it goes in the Nou Camp, it could well be it for the season.

Maybe a win will give us some momentum for the Everton game. However, I do not see a win for us at the Nou Camp lol.

We really ****ed up by not signing Dybala, Wenger was penny pinching as per usual. The kid is going to be pretty much a top 3 in the world striker.
