    I have caught a cold in the middle of August :sick: How does one even do that?

    Bleh I say! Bleh!
    :console:

    (Original post by Diety)
    I actually already have a great coat, it's just all other clothes I need
    Ah okay :getmecoat:

    Is that the lady that gave the land for the bar? Then yes! :teehee:
    Yeah, apparently she gave them money so long as they never built a bar on John's land, so they built it underground

    You'd better! It's going to be rockin'! :ahee:
    Indeed :ahee: :ninja:

    Spoiler:
    Show
    And get yo'self back over to the MHoC when you can, we have an election called a few days ago :ninja:

    Lovely, lovely Gaelic.

    There's only one thing for it, we need to seal ourselves off in a room made of bubble-wrap, fluffy things and with tape over our mouths. It's the only way to stop ourselves showing how truly stupid we are :closedeyes: (Notice how I drag you into this in a pathetic attempt at making myself feel better :awesome:)
    Can I join? It sounds fun :yep: :ninja:

    (Knowing me I would never phone them because I hate confrontation so much, i'd probably just keep checking UCAS for the next five years and never mention it :flute:)

    I could have sworn I wrote more...

    Maybe I just intended to and then forgot :holmes:

    Anyway, I am silly and still packing, when I need to leave my house about quarter to 9 tomorrow morning :erm:

    Also, it is raining, which does not bode so well for the weekend :erm:

    Anyone have any tips for blocked ears? Tried eardrops and it still feels horrid and I desperately need sleep. Also trying to multi-quote when paragraphs won't work is my idea of hell.

    Apt username.

    loljk I love my holidays. Not having to do anything, 24/7 chilling... (but I do this time, and it's so hard for me.)
    As the Doctor would say, "The name you choose, it's like, it's like a promise you make" :awesome: Although hopefully if I fail it means I get to transform into John Hurt. Which would be awesome. And it all comes full circle.

    Of course you may monsieur, the land of the Fluffer-Nutters is open to all! Except for when it's closed.

    I can barely even cope with emails, it's so one-to-one and it just sits there waiting for you to reply... :ninja: And this is why I would never sue someone.

    Sweet heavens, Abi, that actually made me do a double take when I read that message.

    Kudos for bringing creeper in there, though.

    Re: the ears, use olive oil. Feels nasty, works like an absolute dream. The mothership (a GP) recommends.

    Also, *Katy. :P

    In which case I shall give it a go! Also you have no idea how much creepier I have become

    Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
    So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
    'T is some creeper entreating entrance at my chamber door,
    Some late creeper entreating entrance at my chamber door:
    This it is and nothing more."

    Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
    "Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
    But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
    And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
    That I scarce was sure I heard you"—here I opened wide the door:—
    Darkness there, a trail of poptarts, and nothing more.

    Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
    Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;
    But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
    And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "It's Katy you son of a gun!"
    This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the words, "Katie?"
    Merely this and nothing more, 'cept for the sound of gritting my teeth.

    In there stepped a stately northerner of the saintly days of yore.
    Not the least obeisance made she; not a minute stopped or stayed he (it is after all, agendered, if not aggressively so);
    But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door,
    Perched upon a bust of Plessis just above my chamber door:
    Perched, and sat, giggling like a school girl and nothing more.

    Then this ebony nerd beguiling my sad fancy into smiling
    By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
    "Though thy hair by short and scruffy thou," I said, "art sure no craven," (The nerve of some people)
    Ghastly grim and ancient Manc wandering from the Nightly shore:
    Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
    Quoth the Unshaven (again, jerk), "Nevermore... Until tomorrow"

    The end :ahee:. And yes, I am sleep deprived.

    Mine's called Ziggy from the little handheld computer in Quantum Leap :awesome:

    Pretty good akshully thanks, the cold has moved onto bloked nose, headache and a sore throat but it's much better than yesturday's symptoms. I actually managed to get a good nights sleep once I finally got off, think I got a solid 8/9ish hours. Hence why I only got up 40mins ago

    Although I didn't try olive oil in the end as I got it out and decided to cook instead XD Darn nice pasta sauce though.

    Anyone have any tips for blocked ears?
    A medieval cure for ailments of the ear:
    Take a clove of garlic
    Prick it several times through the centre with a pin
    Dip it in honey
    Place into the ear
    Leave for a week to a fortnight

    Try that. See how it goes.

    Isn't "north of London" just a euphemism for the dodgy bit of Essex? :-P

    Oh good grief, no. It's Hertfordshire. Essex is to the North East of London.

    :K: :lol: Alas though i'm cooking later so I need all the garlic I have. Garlic is awesome like that.

    Also the smell of garlic and honey must be pretty vile.
