Good luck with your application guys, I'm just about to go into my final year on the graduate course, and I can honestly say its the best decision I've made so far. With regards to London living costs, its true they are very high if you want to live in central London but if you are willing to commute from Zone 2 and further, the costs are a lot more manageable. There are people travelling in from the Midlands daily!

Hope all goes well with your application. I'd highly recommend doing some travelling before you start the course!

do they accept optometry graduates? I'm in my final year and got 3A at a level but took me 3 years to get my a levels had to retake a year so i know that will be a big red flag ... hearts always been in dentistry and always feels like i settled for something lower than my capabilities

They would accept you if you've covered certain topics in your degree such as anatomy physiology and a bit of simple biochem, (DNA and proteins etc), and it won't red flag with having taken a levels again btw as long as you have the grade plus it's the degree hats important at graduate entry not a levels

Can I just ask what the career outlook is for optometry? Better or worse than pharmacy? How much maths/ physics is involved? How many hours a week are you in lectures and how many everyday for independent studying? What is the salary like for pre-red and after pre-reg (2-3 years)? Also how competitive is it to get a place for pre-reg in East London?

    Hello!

Just wondered if anyone else is considering this? Surely i'm not the only one
I have a BSc Hons in Biology 2:1 and have considered dentistry perhaps at Plymouth or Exeter. It's just a thought but can you get accepted onto a dentistry course with a BSc hons?

I know for medicine you have to do a GAMSAT test but is thus necessary for dentistry?

    My A'levels are:
    Human Biology B
    Geography. C
    Chemistry D

    GCSE
    English A*
    Maths C
