Has anyone got an interview on the 3rd of March for Birmingham City for PGCE general primary? I have 3 tasks to do that are in 2 parts, a general test with all the national curriculum subjects, self-evaluation test, group discussion and a one on one interview. Any advice on the self-evaluation task?I'm so nervous. Dreading the exam.

Hi Sarah! Congratulations! I'm going to Chester as well to do Primary on the condition I get a 2:1 in my degree, I don't graduate until July. Was Chester your first choice? I can't wait to start!

My only advice is to be yourself! The teaching staff are really lovely and friendly and only want you to do well! Draw on your experience during the group discussion and keep your points clear!

I'm doing education studies with sport, can't wait to finish now and look forward to September. What is your degree in? I got a place at Man Met but Chester was my first choice too. Have you heard anything from them since you firmed your offer?

I did theatre and performance. Then spent a year as a horse riding instructor, then spent a term as a supply teaching assistant. I haven't heard anything, all I've had through is the ucas letter confirming what my choices are.

I have an interview next week at MMU and I was just wondering how recent does an educational issue have to be to use it? I have to give a two min presentation and I remember reading something about behaviour getting worse in schools in November.. Would this be too outdated? Cos I think it's an issue that although it was in the news a few months ago still affects teaching etcc today..? Any advice would be great!!

I think it's ok because there's been more recent things in January about surprise behaviour inspections.. So it's like it's been followed up

    Hi,

I have applied to do a primary PGCE in Sep2014.

I've had interviews at oxford brookes and bath spa and really happy to have received offers from both of them... But i am finding it really difficult to decide which to accept!?

The bath spa course is 5-11with an early years specialism as well and oxford is just 5-11.

Just wondering if anyone had been in the same situation deciding between 2 and if they had any advice!? I have a week to decide  - very stressful!! Haha

    Thanks! Becky :-)

As long as there are places on UCAS, I'm guessing you can apply regardless of the date.

    Good luck!

Hi Becky! Congratulations on the offers!

I think it'll come down to where you would prefer living and teaching, and which university you preferred.

I'd definitely suggest making a pros and cons list for each offer!

I haven't got much more advice other than that, sorry!
