Yeah except as has been shown every season for the last 5 seasons being in the Europa league knockout ****s up your league performances completely
That's a lazy excuse, how is progression in the EL any different to progression in the CL latter stages. Even then the EL doesn't have a record of affecting top 4 clubs. United and Chelsea's league campaign didn't suffer when they went down. Lesser teams don't have the depth or quality to cope hence why their league form suffers

Probably because the PL teams (usually midtable teams) who have competed in the EL have no depth and quality in their squad.

It's very different, first there is a round of 32 so potentially 2 more games to play and the extra games often mean playing on consecutive midweeks iirc. Secondly they are on a Thursday not Tuesday or Wednesday which is well known to have detrimental effects on performance and thirdly the distance traveled is often ridiculous due to the increased chance of playing a team from a minor league in ex soviet states, wasting 2 days on travel. United were knocked out early but how Chelsea managed it I don't know

How would everyone feel about us signing Griezmann to play at ST?
Personally feel he is an overlooked player and could be a good buy, especially considering hes still young-ish

Honestly this transfer window is almost bringing me to tears. I can't believe how poor it's been. Why is it only Wenger and Arsenal that publicly gets economics involved, talking about supply?? There's players out there but he's stuck in his ways. UTD have bought quality in Schneirderlin and Memphis, Chelsea in Pedro and City, well City are City.

I'm not saying let's buy for the sake of buying but there's no doubt we need more. It has been a disaster and a real shame after a summer of high enthusiasm and hope.

Perhaps Arsene going will be best for him and Arsenal? The club is not progressing on the pitch.

If City had not overcome their bogeys in Stoke and Sunderland last season, Arsenal would be 2nd. It'll be important for Arsenal to do much better against Stoke and Swansea this season.

There's a chance we won't. We need to be realistic.

Is it genuinely time to ask, 'Has Wenger taken Arsenal as far as he can?'

I hope we get Barca or Juve tomorrow tbh been ages since we've been in a massive CL match. I reckon we'd competitive against both teams.

Just waiting for some ode to Jack Wilshere playing Barca off the park. Might get a mention of how they beat Bayern too.

Who's gonna take our place in the top 4, Liverpool?? They'd be on the same number of points as us right now if not for wrong decisions. Liverpool fans getting gassed already

So Wenger's now come out and said we're trying for big signings but nothing is happening. tbf if that is the case and we can't even sign a ****ing cdm when Kondogbia, Vidal, Sneiderlin, Khedira have all been sold then the transfer team needs to shape up or all be sacked, simply unacceptable.

Who is even available now and hasn't ruled themselves out of leaving their clubs this window??

The teams who won the top 5 European league's last season have bought 18 new players between them all. Wenger can't go around saying the quality isn't there anymore.
