Since the tie is lost anyway, I really hope Barca put on a footballing masterclass and tear us a new one.

Makes me laugh when people use the two FA cup wins to defend Wenger. Any club can get to the semi finals/final with a bit of luck. It doesn't take anything special managerially to win it. However, we haven't had a proper title challenge since the last time we won it in 04, which shows how sh*t a manager Wenger really is. You can get lucky, get easy draws/have a good performance on the day and win the cup, but over the course of 38 games Wenger is incapable of leading a title challenge.

You're also seeing what happens to clubs when they aren't managed well with Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea and their struggles with getting CL football.

How many seasons have Arsenal qualified for CL football under Wenger?

One semi-final and one final in all that time.

The whole point of qualifying for Champions League is so that you can then go and win it, or use the riches and increase in standing to improve your team so they can then challenge for trophies. You would have to be quite insane to consider qualification a big achievment if you've done it already, and Arsene's always been a bit funny.

You were 3/4pts behind one of the greatest United teams ever in 2008

yeah, a lack of bottle and better leadership and not so many interfighting (e.g. Gallas and Toure, Bendtner and Adebayor, RVP and Walcott) and we might have won it

I think that was as good as it got, since three years later we finished 12 points behind you. Your team didn't change apart from Ronaldo for Valencia, Tevez for Berbatov, and got just 80 points. Us? The less said about, the better.

We should have won the league that season. If not for that game at Birmingham I think we would have.

I think everyone started to work out 2/3 years ago that qualifying for the Champions League for so many years consecutively was irrelevant when you do the square root of jack **** in it.

Having been on the other side grass, it's not always greener..

Will be interesting to see what happens when Wenger finally leaves.

We'll suffer when he leaves. Initially. But he'll leave eventually and as we're not going anywhere under him, we might as well start the inevitable now and do whatever **** we need to sort it out.

I'm not getting any younger. I want that PL champagne.

Tbh as long as Kroenke is around not much is going to change. His recent interview where he referred to Arsenal as a "brand" and basically stated that he's not interested in winning titles, says it all. The fact he's not been hounded out of our club really is a damning reflection of the state of the modern day football fan in England.

Kroenke/Arsenal aren't doing much wrong other than Kroenke not throwing hundreds of millions at the club ala Man City/Chelsea owners.

Could be worse - he could be taking huge sums of money out of the club like the Glazers or loading it with debt like Gillett & Hicks did with Liverpool or helping the club be mis-managed and go bust like so many other clubs.

If this season is gonna end like 2010-11 the one after may as well start like 2011-12. Get thrashed by a top club and make a mad trolley dash for players that won't improve Us.

Except we have hundreds of millions available to spend. We just haven't spent any. And he does take money out of the club even though he has done absolutely nothing for us. Granted not on the scale of Gillett and Hicks but still.

Not sure what I want anymore. Leicester to drop points so that we can catch up to them even though it leaves the other mob with a much better chance of winning the league than us, or Leicester to stop them from winning the league by winning it themselves.

No Arsenal fan should want Leicester to win tonight. If you think it's already over then why do you even support the team? I highly doubt we'll win it at the end of the season but if you give in now then by that logic there's no point of you watching any more games until August.
