Tbh United, cranbrook and I probably reflect different poles in the Labour Party and thus work well as a leadership team.

United is Old Labour, I'm New Labour and cranbrook is Green-like, Corbynite libertarian Labour.
    United is DL?

Ah yes, it was the week I went to Berlin. Saoirse ran the election having just been elected Chair herself. I presumed she had announced the result as I wasn't really about to do so. (Well, I was accessing TSR as and when I could at great cost on data roaming.)

If not, then consider it announced. United1892 is Deputy Leader and has been since mid-December.

Having a broad party means having broad ideas, thats why the Labour party works so well. What divides us in opinion unites us against Tory Austerity.

There's no contest between United and Cranbrook. United is closer to the center to start with and much less ideological/more pragmatic and open.

But even Cranbrook is not a communist.
From working in Government with them, I'd say neither are overwhelmingly pragmatic but Cranbrook is more pragmatic than United.

It's interesting to see where other people put me. I'm actually getting more and more left-wing. I'll never be a full-blown communist because I'll never abandon my commitment to a peaceful, democratic revolution, but now that I'm studying politics and reading more around the different ideologies I can see and sympathise with a lot more of the logic in libertarian communism.

You know, I'm kind of glad we don't live in the 1960s because if we did this discussion would get me under surveillance by MI6

Then we are quite similar to our belief for a long and slow democratic worldwide socialist/communist revolution and not a people's uprising?

Anarcho-anything is a terrible idea. Individual freedom is a great evil, to be crushed at all costs.

One of my goals in discussing politics is to get to a state where nobody's ever sure if I'm being serious or not.

The most important thing about controlling the masses is to pretend to give them free speach whist at the same time not actually doing so. So the gulag is a bad idea.

What would you say is a realistic target for fuel efficiency of road-legal cars for 2020?

As an Irish Republican, with strong Norwegian family ties, two union leading grandparents and one of them pro-Russia, I would have made such a good target for the KGB and counter revolutionary attacks on Britain.

Anarcho-communism isn't individual freedom anyway (in my view), so you've got nothing to worry about there.
