I might apply to the TSR Liberals, to be honest.
We'd still have to run a dupe check (though I honestly don't know why it's been so slow for Labour - it usually takes a maximum of 2 days for me to get a response) and I need to know where you stand politically. Just generally, where do you stand economically (I'm assuming you're socially liberal so theres no point in asking that )

Come on, I'm not that bad. If the person clearly doesn't fit, I recommend another party. If I think a person has a place in the party, I'll request they join us. Every party needs new members

I don't think I've yet seen somebody say they might consider joining and then you saying no.

I think the long time is is taking shows the party does not value a new member wanting to joint; try another party who may value your interest more.
The long time this is taking shows the fact that the CT hasn't carried out the dupe check yet, despite being asked to do so. It's as annoying for us as it is for him.The party values newbies hugely, as without them we will eventually grind to a halt.

That doesn't tend to happen with any party though.

Come on, does it seriously take that long? I asked for one last Sunday and got a reply by the Tuesday

Economically, I believe in having a mixed economy; so I have nothing against capitalism, so long as there is economic intervention from the state wherever it is needed. So politically, I suppose I'd most likely be classed as a social democrat, right?

    Yeah, pretty much

I do think you should give Labour a day or two more, you would possibly fit in slightly better there as we're centrist while they're Social Democrats and Socialists. After that, you're welcome to submit an application. In the meantime, you can still get involved and debate on the main MHoC forum, which is always a good way of showing how you mean to go on

I am worried you believe someone wanting to invade a country to protect birds, kill old people, and abolish borders is a good fit for your party. lustawny if you are active when you first join there is a strong possibility of a promotion to a cabinet position; the Liberals like rewarding activity.

The old people thing was a joke....

In an ideal world, I'd support open borders. We're however nowhere near there yet. Aph was also a defection and has only contributed positively since his defection. He fits in the party even better than I thought he might - if he hadn't he maybe would be in a different party by now. Rather than criticising Aph for what he did before he was a member of my party, judge him for what he will soon be submitting as a member of my party.

Don't you think socialism will make us weaker like what France did? Or like what Labour did when we had a flaw in our military which was Aircraft Carriers and Jets.

I disagree, not judging members by their past actions is an unfounded way to operate; every individual must be judged by their recent, past actions to construct a belief of how the individual will act in the future. All departments have had enough time to write reports, or tell MPs of the policies their departments will be following but members have failed to do that, stop defending chronic incompetence in the government to get things done.

Aph's Defence review will be submitted today or tomorrow (waiting on Fez to confirm). Feel free to question him on his policies in the Ask the Government thread.

All that you mentioned wasn't 'recent, past actions'. They were a fair bit of time ago.

The CT told me they have now, though? That's why Saracen told me he was going to look into it yesterday, and why I'm having to quote him today because I still haven't had a response to my application yet.

Is this going to be another two line piece that does nothing?

I also find it strange the massive inconsistency in the apparent length of votes on matters. This is also not the first time we head "today or tomorrow" and then not get it today or tomorrow, so you can't really call us convinced.

We've voted on it, Labour wanted some changes. We debated the changes. Waiting on Fez. It is 100% ready to be submitted from my side - any delay would be due to Labour.

So with delays it is all done in a matter of days, and yet other stuff takes weeks? Interesting.

    How time flies.

I suppose at least with Aph we are getting at least a modicum of efficiency, is there any word on the half a dozen or so who have been working none stop for months on their SoIs? Are they going to be so long as to put the budgets ramblings to shame?
