Yeah. I think it's a pretty good mention, though. Europe is such a cultural powerhouse that it's amazing to live only 4 hours (by flight) to somewhere like Greece or a Italy.
On a general note - I do understand why people move because of weather, though. Having sunny weather can encourage you to spend more time outside being active, provide you with fresher local food and usually means you eat healthier.
When it's raining and cold here in the UK... all I do is stay inside. Either in the house, or in the gym... and in winter there's little sunlight so getting up for work/school is tough. People tend to complain when the weather is crap and it turns people miserable and stifles optimism.
I think dismissing weather conditions is a little naive.
