Take a train and have a look around yourself. It's widely considered to have one of the most beautiful campuses of any university, if the surroundings themselves are what you're concerned about.
just to clarify, i can walk in any uni campus i like and they cant chat ****?

Did you already firm Manchester on track? If not, just reject them you don't have to "let anyone down gently", universities are used to rejections and I'm sure, in time, they'll move on and find someone else.

You can walk into Nottinghams campuses without a problem (don't take a car), you just couldn't get into the libraries or student residences.

Maybe, just maybe, it might be because he prefers Surrey over Nottingham. :sigh:

    This.
Except some uni libraries (like mine) just let you walk in - no secure access or anything. No idea about notttingham though

I wrote a letter to let Hull know I didn't want to study History there in 2008. I was very polite and could send you it if you really wanted.

Unfortunately for me, the very polite letter I sent them this year begging for my spot back was less successful.

    Damn.

why do i get the feeling that Nottingham completely outclasses Surrey in terms of reputation?
seriously Notts is 100times better than Surrey or reputation as a whole! and Manchester is equally good as Notts! so imo forget Surrey!

and I bet I shall be getting an angry response to this or neg rep

problem is Nottingham don't have an open day till like june or something, and I've never visited it before. the BBC predicted grades are putting me off though, lol. it would feel like such a waste putting a low offer like that as my firm

I love Surrey though, only annoying thing is that my course = cockfest (computer science), but another advantage is that if there is a skunk shortage in Surrey, then london (where I live) is only a 40 minute drive away. if this was the case for nottingham however, i'd be twitching
I did a year at NTU and I swear to god Nottingham is the place to BE to score weed.

Look around the floor in the city centre for business cards with Don or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - they were the 2 I used regularly while I was there.

On average I got 10 minute delivery, decent stuff too and good deals once you get to know them.

ah yes, I'm in the same predicament.

I need to gently let down Cambridge, seeing as I've firmed Harvard and put Yale as my insurance.
I feel your pain, my parents ordered me a Ferrari for my birthday but I prefer Lamborghinis, so I now have to call the Ferrari factory to cancel the order.

Yes I understand how painful that experience must've been. Just a few days ago my parents bought me a Veyron but I kicked up a fuss because I wanted a Space Shuttle.

I was in a similar pickle. Megan Fox broke off her engagement with me after she discovered bar refaeli was paying me for sex...needless to say I was devastated and had to raise my fees.

I would suggest you have a look at Firm and insurance choices before making any firm decisions. You have plenty of time before you need to make your mind up.

As far as Manchester is concerned, if you can't afford to go/don't want to visit them, then at least be courteous enough to let them know. A simple email will suffice.

here's the deal. i've decided to firm surrey(AAB) and insure nottingham(BBC).

i was invited for an interview to manchester on tuesday. i was really keen on going, but it was costing me £120. i sent them an email asking if they could refund it, and they said no. i have my heart set out to surrey atm so i'm working my butt off to get the grades - but i already told manchester via email that i would be attending and just got a thank you letter from them today (even accepted it via ucas track).

how can i gently let them down. i basically want to forget about manchester completely.

    thanks in advance
I know I'm a little bit late, but...

OP, YOU ARE CUTE AS PIE.
