Yeah so what he's still from Ghana.
That's like saying all the black players for England are not English.

Rooney as far as I am aware of is an Irish name. Owen is a welsh name. And so on.

Rooney was eligable for the Republic as far as I know.

As far as Super Mario goes, I don't care if hes a scrote. Drogba is an even bigger scrote and he's godlike when on form.

hes the sort of player that can **** up a team a bit simply because of his attitude. he goes onto my list of the players i would never sign, next to Joey Barton and Antonio Cassano

    edit: and El Hadji Diouf

Balotelli is quality, and definitely has the potential to be world class. We knew what we were getting before we signed so a couple of training ground scraps (which will be far from abnormal on any training ground at any club) are hardly surprising. He had an excellent game for us today, but one thing he needs to stop is the diving. He so often goes down like he's been shot and against Salzburg he could've shot but instead chose to go down for nothing.

Growing up in a racist ****hole like Italy will do that to you. Not everyone is born an idiot. After years of abuse, it screws with you. He's obviously not totally blameless but people who can't grasp this fact are not really thinking.
He gets enough abuse playing for the national team, one wonders what he had to put up with being a talented footballer and probably the only black guy throughtout much of his early development.

Mario Balotelli has been named the best young player in Europe – and has
taken a swipe at Jack Wilshere, Cesc Fábregas and Wayne Rooney in the
    process.

The Manchester City striker won the Golden Boy trophy, organised by the
Turin newspaper Tuttosport and voted for by European journalists to
honour the most talented footballer under the age of 21. The 20-year-old
beat the 18-year-old Wilshere into second place – and then claimed he
did not even know who the Arsenal midfielder was.

"What's his name? Wil ... ? No, I don't know him, but the next time I
play against Arsenal I will keep a close eye on him," Balotelli said.
"Perhaps I can show him the Golden Boy trophy and remind him that I won
    it."

The Italy international then had a dig at previous winners of the award,
including Fábregas, Rooney and Rafael van der Vaart, insisting only one
past recipient could claim to be better than him. "There's only one
that is a little stronger than me: Messi. All the others are behind me.

"I am delighted to receive the award, but who should have won it but me?
Two years ago I finished sixth and then fourth in 2009. It was finally
my turn. My aim is that this prize will transform itself into the Ballon
d'Or. To have won this award is a good omen to achieve that."

Aside from personal prizes, Balotelli also seems confident of helping
his team win the Premier League title this season. "For 2011 I want the
Premier League, in order to continue with the tradition I had at Inter
of winning three consecutive titles, and to clinch the Europa League, a
trophy I have not yet won and a competition where we are considered
    favourites."

    ****.

    Arrogance?
    Or is it true?

His attitude may stink sometimes, but there's no denying that he is an incredible player, and technically better than all of those he claims to be better than. In fact, there's only a handful of players in the world who I'd say are technically better than him, but his pace, height and physique give him an edge that nobody else has

I can see why the Inter fans hated him now...

Is there really anything to say about him beyond the obvious yet undeniably true comments about how he's both really talented and an awful human being? I mean, that funny hat is a fairly recent development, but getting wound up about him seems pointless.

    1) Wilshere is 2 years younger than Balotelli
    2) He is playing first team football for Arsenal, a team that beat City 3-0 away, and Balotelli can't consistently break into the first team for them.
