Bizarre thread, you do know that 'black women' are normal human beings as well you know? It's not like we're rare aliens.

believe me, most black people to not share the same thoughts on things then white/asian/latin people. We are all part of the human race, but the way we were raised cultural is totaly different. I grew up in europe, and a lot of europeans do not understand why we do some things we do

    thats why this thread

no sexual or weird things, pure political/cultural etc
do you wear a weave? as for your previous post about black people not being forced in their preference for straighter hair, smaller noses, lighter skin etc, where do you think this desire comes from?

I'm a black woman myself, and I would like to know:

    1. Why is this thread in the religion area? I'm atheist! Not every black person believes in god.
    2. Why does it say "women" when it's mainly the opinion of one person?
    3. Is there any need for this? Black women are not some sort of different species. We are human beings who other people, whether white, asian, black, or anyone else can easily befriend and ask the necessary questions from.

that depends on which "black" people you talk about....... there are far too many differences between "black" people across the globe....

the only thing uniting you is the continent of africa and the associated heritage etc.

If I asked you to bungee jump with me, would you do it, or just call me a 'crazy cracka'?
I never been to KFC, I hate fastfood. But I love nice and quit places like pizaria's
My lips do not turn inwards, so how can I kiss my own teeth

Because our hair isn't the same as people with asian and white hair. It breaks really easily and doesn't look that great naturally (or at least my brother calls me a freak for not having hair like a white person). People don't appear to realise that people like Beyonce do not have natural hair that way. It's weave.

Men are more confortable with having shorter hair I guess. Maybe it's magazines or whatever, but there aren't many (in fact I know none) black role models with their hair worn naturally to aspire to.
