Out of the movies I've seen, Inception.

Shutter Island and Buried come quite close.
I just recently watched Buried... Oh my... It pissed me (and my friends) off that it finished so abruptly. I thought with all that build up the ending was pretty crappy.

Inception and Toy Story 3 were the only highlights of what I thought was a very poor year for the film industry.

Yeah I agree, not many good films this year. Inception was the best of a bad lot imo.

Anyone watched The Social Network? I've heard it's good but I've not seen it yet.

I watched it a few days ago. It was surprisingly good.

I've seen it and it was engaging to some extent but found it viciously overrated in the press - it seems as though the massive surge in social networking (and Facebook in particular) helped create the hype for a film which came across as little better than an improv-documentary.

    Eclipse!

    I jest, I jest.

Probably Inception. I really haven't seen many films that were released this year and Inception was the best out of the ones I've seen....

:yep: any half decent film gets overrated.

That's as maybe - I just felt there was an "I use Facebook so I should see this" attitude floating about for what was a very average, borderline tedious, film.

    Inception was of course mind-blowing.

Hell, I also loved Deathly Hallows. But I'm biased.

'Kick Ass' or 'The Other Guys' are my favourites.

The first time I saw Inception I was impressed. The second time I couldn't stop yawning as the whole thing seemed incredibly boring. On that basis, I can't say Inception...

I thought The Social Network was excellent, but I am generally fond of 'talk-ie' films. It was a hundred times more exciting than my second viewing of Inception anyway.

Of Gods and Men would be another contender. In a sense not much happens, but it's beautiful and compelling.

I'm sad nobody's said Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, that film deserved more recognition

Mine would be Inception. Which would you pick?

    Yes definitely Inception! Genius movie!

Inception, if predictable, was a very enjoyable film! And I got it on DVD now
As much as people moan about Robert Pattinson, I went to see Remember Me and I think it was actually a really well-done film. Blubbing by the end
Knight and Day was ridiculous... probably in a good way.
Four Lions was just genius. Search 'best of Waj' on YouTube. Such a risky thing to do, but I think the film was amazing!
