It's not an either or. One can be comfortable both online and offline. Online gives you a wider scope for meeting a larger number of people, and more opportunity of finding someone who gels with you.

Doesn't work. I've had a few online relationships and they've always been bad.

Okay, well sport is always a good place to meet new friends, or even the gym! Don't know if you do any of them, but I've made a couple of friends and some gym buddies at the gym, even been invited to a party by one of the guys at the gym, so maybe you could too. If you don't mind talking to strangers in gym classes or in general, then you would probably get on well.
I don't really like the gym much tbh. I just find it a bit boring running and rowing into nowhere for ages :o:. Maybe I'll give it another go sometimes if I feel like it. I find exercises like dancing much more fun though. Was gonna start a pole dancing course recently but I missed my chance for the last class that got full up. I'm also interested in stuff like hip hop dancing, salsa, latin dancing and burlesque, so I might try one of them

    "Online relationships"?

Think you're in the wrong thread... this is about online dating.
