i think the japanese have got it right (someone mentioned them before)

heated seat, jet of water with different power settings, and a front bum button for ladies

best dumps i ever had were in japan lol

the toilets have sensors to make sure you're sat down when the water squirts - they are easily fooled though, just make sure you don't stand RIGHT in front of the toilet. good way to get your hotel bathroom wet

EDIT: my 800th post, and its about crap
ah well, what did ya expect!

At school, in one of the toilets there is hardly ever any toilet roll, so the girls (its a girls toilet) sometimes use the curtain!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny story about a visitor who wiped their hands on it because they couldnt see and it was dark...

Edit: Just wasted my 1400 post

When I was a baby my mum used to bath me in the bidet!

I don't think anyone used it for it's intended purpose though. We don't have a bidet anymore

Though my aunts just got a new bathroom and there's a shower head thingy by the toilet instead  (One assumes you pick it up and wash yourself over the toilet)

Even if you used water, wouldn't you have to wipe it off afterwards? Who wants a soggy backside?
don't some toilets have that basin thing where u can wash your backside.

All notions of using something other than paper are weird as ***** in my opinion. I don't wanna imagine using a bidet or anything else coz 1. I don't believe that they even work properly 2. I don't want water there at a time like that. No matter what, nothing is going to be as effective as paper. You have to use paper no matter what. Otherwise you are just taking a risk. Less likely to be clean if you just use water. This thread is too weird.

Indians set aside a cup to use! Or....an empty milk glass bottle (yes, I have seen this). I prefer wet toilet paper - there we go, a comprimise

I thought bidets are pretty rare nowadays?
Most people just sit in the sink these days... :p:

This has been the source of several discussions between my friends and I.

Which one is cleaner and provides a better wipe of one's backside? Exclusively water or exclusively toilet paper?
You and your friends need to get out more.
