I am trying to engender legendariness by creating misleading thread titles that *sound* fun, even if they never could be in reality, since there is nothing pleasant about 1999.
oi, in 1999 this came out:

Feelin' some kind of buzz right now. I'm one single post (^^^^) off the big 2000. This is a very special time for me. Very proud, very happy and thrilled.

Well I wouldn't exactly define it as the highlight of my whole life, no.

And it's nothing compared to being there for this.

Sweet. I was 8/9, so I remember quite a few things. I remember watching the Queen and Tony Blair at the Millennium Dome party and thinking they looked really strange linking arms and singing Auld Lang Syne. I was quite scared about the Millennium Bug. I thought it was a real bug that was going to come out of computers and eat us (someone at school had told me that) - my parents and older sister assured me this wasn't the case, but I was still somewhat apprehensive. I stayed away from computers the first couple of days of 2000.

It's crazy the stuff you believe as a kid. I believed in ghosts, spirits, Bloody Mary, the lot!

Yep, I turn 20 in 2014. This year has gone so quickly, I can't believe I'm almost finished first year already...

For me the worst thing of 1999 was that my god, Michael Jordan, had just ended his basketball career. The best thing - I got my first computer that year.
