I personally studied all the sciences and maths at A level, getting some practical experience in a hospital (even if you just end up making cups of tea, they don't expect you to have done anything major) helps your app too

I have two offers ( cardiff and sheffield AAAc and AAA)
    AS math chem biol psych
    A2 math chem biol
I think most med schools ask for chem and another science often biol
As for the rest do what you think you will enjoy and do well in maths has made my other subjects easier and if you are good at it its a good one to get a good grade. My advice would be if you have an idea where you might like to study ring addmissions

The bit in bold - why? Unis go to great lengths to put all the necessary info on their websites, there's generally no need to ring admissions unless you have unusual circumstances.

I'm pretty sure you need Biology to do nursing. My sister expressed a desire to do midwifery and it appears you need it for that, so I presume it's the same for nursing.

    PS 'Old Year 13' - :rofl2:
    midwifery yes you do!
Nursing no, maybe the good Unis, but bucks new don't require it (my friend is in 1st year and doesn't hav e it)

The info is out there but sometimes it helps to clarify certain aspects of particular med schools and admissions policies i found them really helpful but thats just my opinion and advice doesnt mean you have to take it i may be completely wrong but for me it helped

Yes. Where the poster you replied to said 'GP or consultant', what they should have said was GP or a hospital doctor in a certain specialty. Consultant is just the highest rank of doctor in hospital and has nothing to do with which specialty they're in. Specialties include (for example) paediatrics, psychiatry, surgery.
If I ever did become a doctor, I'd like to specialise! Sounds interesting

All doctors specialise. GP is a specialty.

    Is specialising optional?
