Hi! I've applied to Platt Hall if that's any use? I've spoken to quite a few students and the accommodation is near the centre of the town and is a small distance away from the uni so you're not constantly at uni 24/7. Platt is also apparently the most social as there are more people within it and it's linked to Writtle House meaning you can socialise with even more people.

Also Platt is completely en-suite so no sharing with anyone else!

    Hope this helps

Hey guys just wondering are Middlesex lenient when it comes to results day?
I have accepted their offer as insurance (Law- 300 points) I was wondering if they would take me on if I miss the offer my 20 points or so?

yes they will still take you. Don't sorry it's easy to get in at mdx and it's a good uni too

Who said this? Platt hall is the furthest away from uni, you gotta walk a long distance ugh. My friends were there so I visited them a few times.

Hi, I saw you're studying psychology with counselling skills in mdx. I received a conditional offer there for this year and I was wondering if you'd recommend it?
I have no idea which uni to choose I'm so lost and feedback would be great.
Is it the same qualification as the normal psychology degree? What's the uni and course like as a whole?

    Hi Amy.

I'm going into my second year of psychology in October. Middlesex is alright. If I had the choice again I wouldn't have chosen Mdx as my first choice. However, I am used to the uni now so it doesn't really bother me anymore. I have a lot of friends studying psychology and counseling and they seem to like it. Most people doing psy have a hard time with statistics in the module Psy1017 Psychological Data Analysis. If you already like stats and have no problems understanding it then you're going to sail through. Another module people have a hard time with is Psy1016 Research Methods and Design in Psychology. Many students have had to do multiple resits for tests in both these modules. Some people are doing their final resits in July. You really have to study and read a lot for these modules in order to do well. If you find that you have problems with understanding anything you have some avenues you can go to for help. I can't remember the names at the moment, but they exist.

The library is always packed especially during deadline times. It's a great idea to have your own laptop so you don't get caught up going from floor to floor looking for a computer. Sometimes the system gets overloaded and you can't submit your work by the deadline time so it's best to submit your wok early to avoid this.

Watch this for a short intro from the module & current programme leader, Stephen Nunn (he's a nice guy. Don't know if he will be your module leader this year though.) to get a small window into Psy1017

If you get Nicholas LeBoutillier as one of your lecturers then lucky you because he is an all round fantastic man and lecturer. He is very helpful and lenient, but don't take advantage of that. If you're studying counseling then you won't have him at all.

The campus is ok, nothing too special tbh, but that's just my opinion.
