Eat cheese!I mean a lot of cheese!
If cheese in pizza counts, then hell yeah

When I was skinny I used to drink 'nutrition' shakes like complan and buildup. There are probably better things though, even protein shakes made with full fat milk would do.
Also add peanut butter to your shake.

Other than that it's just a case of eating more, slowly increase your portions and maybe add another meal like brunch. It's best to try and control the amount of saturated fats you're consuming though because although you might be thin you can't see what's going on in your arteries!
Ok, I'll try that. Thanks Can you purchase protein shakes in supermarkets or must you buy them online/at a specific shop?

If you're talking about the nutrition drinks I used to get them at boots or just a normal chemist. In terms of whey protein you can sometimes get it in supermarkets but the range is quiet small. I'd try either health food shops or specialist bodybuilding shops. Or online is good too, my protein.com seems pretty good (though I've never bought anything from there myself!).

There's no secret formula. There's obviously some limit on your metabolism, whether this is slightly above the average person or not. Obviously if you eat an excess amount of calories than what you need to maintain than you will gain weight. Say this amount is 2000, keep a food diary and ensure you consume over 2000 calories per day ( and more if you do any physical activity) if you do want to gain.

If you are struggling to meet this amount of calories daily, eat foods packed with more calories but less filling.

My metabolism is ridiculous. I mean, I love it (nothing like stuffing yourself the whole day and staying at the same weight the next day) but I want to gain a little bit of weight. Currently I weigh 55 kg (8 stones?) and I want to be at least about 10-11.

Besides just 'eating a lot' (clearly it doesn't work for me) what can I consume to gain weight? Do protein shakes work? My friend told me there's this drink that can help me gain weight fast, it's similar to a protein shake but not quite the same. Can someone enlighten me!?
My friend let me educate you.

Fat people bawwing that they eat healthy but aren't losing weight are told that they actually are eating more than they think. They always forget about that midnight kebab. Same goes for thin people bawwing that they never put on weight. 99.99% of the time if you take a close look at them through't the day they aren't eating as much as they think they are. Unless you are breaking the 1st law of thermodynamics if you take in more energy than you need you will gain weight. Genuine slow/fast metabolisms are very rare yet every fat person likes to pull that card.

People who claim they can't gain weight just annoy the Hell out of me. How hard is it to eat a burger? How hard is it to sit on your arse in front of the computer and do nothing all day? I could gain half a stone in a week if I tried. it would take me nearly a month to lose that same amount of weight. Gaining weight is a lot easier since you don't have to fight against your natural inclination to eat and eating is far easier than exercise. So please, instead of staying on this thread go out and eat a KFC. That's 1000 calories and a ****load of fat right there. It will take you about 15 minutes to eat. DO you know how long it would take me to burn 1000 calories? About 2 hours on the treadmill. Now you can understand why I'm so annoyed at you for failing something so easy.

If it is muscle you want then that's a totally different story. Gaining muscle is harder than losing weight even. But if it's just fat you want then just **** off.

Not everyone wants to stuff their face with crap. There is such a thing as gaining weight in a healthy way. I wouldn't eat at KFC if you paid me.

I've discovered that it's not actually as hard as you think it is to eat and drink say 3500 calories in a day.

The trick is to weigh everything you put down your throat with digital scales down the last gram. And using nutrition data on everything to work out your intake and make an little excel chart.

A little OCD and inverse-anorexia, but it does the trick very well.

OP said he want's to gain weight so I gave him one easy quick method. He could eat crap to gain fast then maintain with a healthy diet meaning he would be eating crap for a couple months max.
