I've been told by a lot of employers that MDL is their favourite degree to hire graduates (either working or trainees - law is a particular one that keeps cropping up and saying this) from because they're so well-rounded and have so much experience. So there's that.
It isn't all about end job prospects. I think I might've been unhappy if I went with my original idea of applying for a course to get a specific job. Besides that, plenty of people switch careers in their lifetime.
