    Hi everyone,
I am in need of a PHP developer. Get in touch if you are interested. It is a simple site - users are to sign in (via FB) and then can post and comment on posts. That's it!
    Thanks
If that's it, I'm sure you could have a go at it? The two best resources to start with are W3Schools and the Facebook API page. Happy hunting!

HTML, CSS, JS/jQuery, Ajax, Smarty, PHP, SQL (MySQL), GIT (version control, not really a language though).

LAMP pretty much. Plenty of linux and command involvement.

Umm, also use Vagrant and a few other bits. Got experience with WordPress, but most of what I do is custom made.

Not much experience with third-party frameworks, I stick to the ones custom made.

Getting into Perl. Further Shell programming including Awk scripts.

JSON, XML etc. all that jazz usually for WSDLs and APIs (REST and SOAP).

I know I'm very late to this thread, but you never know this could actually help out someone.

What web designing languages do you know?
    PHP

How long did it take you to learn each of them?
    Not too long

How useful are they and what are they useful for?
I use PHP and SQL mainly for server side scripting and the development of APIs.

Can you recommend which books to purchase in order to learn these languages thoroughly?
    None. Use Google.

What programming languages do you know?
VB.NET, C#, Java, PHP, I also know SQL even though it's not a language.

How long did it take you to learn each of them?

It's really hard to say, it took me about 3 months to understand the basics. But It took me 1.5 years to 2 years to become good enough to be able to create most programs I could think of. However, I PROGRAMMED A LOT WITHIN THOSE times.

How useful are each of them and what particular job do they occupy?

C#, SQL and PHP are very useful for me as I could make pretty much most desktop applications I have interest in. I used them mainly for learning purposes, and eventually led into a freelance service.

    Can you recommend any books?

I've never read a single programming hard copy book if that is what you mean.
