Dave Pearce: Trance Anthems 2008, with the great classics such as Better Off Alone, Airwave, Castles in the Sky, Rapture, Sandstorm and Luvstruck.

Blew my mind, still a classic.

    The Hives - Tyrannosaurus Hives

I was relatively late to the party in buying music - I think I'd been bought a walkman (BOOYAH!) for my birthday and been given a HMV voucher too so thought I might as well grab a CD.

I'm embarrassed to say this but I think it was the spice girls.

I had also previously bought a spice girls tape album.

    I was pretty young though.

Mine was Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory

What was yours? The more embarrassing, the better...I'm going to rate them from 1 to 10 on the shame scale (with 10 being utterly shameful), and star with a * if I'm myself the prowd owner of such a CD.
      A fine choice, Numberwang :smug:

Mine was actually Heathen Chemistry - Oasis - prior to then, CDs had been bought for me

"Huge Hits '97" at the same time as getting my own stereo in my room.

First track was Puff Daddy's I'll Be Missing You - can still remember the excitement of putting it in my very own stereo and listening to it whenever I wanted!

My first experience of 'music on demand'! (so long as you owned the song in question )

My first tape was a Kylie Album purchased from Boots but I reckon none of you lot are old enough to have ever purchased a cassette.... I remember the days of sitting by the radio and listening to the TOP 40 for 4 hours and making mix tapes - I used to get really annoyed when the DJ would talk over the record, that was simply not good enough.

        Oh the good old days!
