You're wrong about Lion King too
It's difficult to be wrong about an expression of aesthetic preference, notwithstanding false consciousness or some improbable psychological breakdown. Also, the Lion King is a veiled justification of hereditary monarchy and authoritarianism.

That the audience is predominantly young - although I would hasten to add that the Lion King has become canonised, and is consequently watched by a perplexing age-range - and thus pliable is not really a defence for legitimising abhorrent social practices. In fact, it's probably the opposite. Several Disney movies are well balanced parables (i.e. Robin Hood), but the Lion King is not one of them.

There's at least one book on the somewhat dubious messages in Disney - the one I remember most is "How to Read Donald Duck: Imperialist Ideology in the Disney Comic".

I can still enjoy watching some Polanski films despite knowing he's a rapist, and I can enjoy some Disney films knowing he was appallingly racist...

How has no one mentioned The Golden Compass yet? Probably the worst film I've seen. It didn't end; it just stopped.

Also the Eragon movie wasn't much better since they changed the plot so much so that they can't actually make any of the sequals.

1- Couldn't agree more, he is not even close to being funny.
4 - It wasn't too bad, but very overrated- Also when it came out it had the best CGI VFX.
