Well, what I have done is flunked yr 11 and done maths which I find ridiculously easy and fun. And thankfully 30% of students get an A grade. Hopefully that's me.

I dont really mind doing a BTEC but since i hear that some unis(not the rubbish ones) overlook them/look down upon those candidates so....you know....i am not 100% of what i want to do in the future but know that BTECS are not favoured everywhere so i rather do stuff that everybody recognises and dont look down upon.

BTECS are a different way of learning so i dont see why certain unis should look down at candidates who do them.
well they are all course work and course work you can work on throughout the year i know there a diffrent way of working but if your constantly going back to improve your work throught the year instead of working through moduals and doing tests for those moduals and moving on so ... ahh i dont want to put BTEC's down but if i continue this paragraph i will be. they have a big work load but its all course work, its like how i do art and ict, i had people taking the mick out of me for doing a soft subject cause it was all drawing and course work, art then ict had an exam so it was better in people's opinion.

Yeah and its embarassing as well. What i mean is that everybody moving on to their next stage of education(A lavels or whatever) and a person having to resit because they have failed.
are you not resiting at Alevel? the GCSE's i mean in college? its okay there should be others resiting the exams, there were quite a few lower sixth at my college that resat maths this year, they just got on with it, its better in the long run, if i would have resat my maths and got a B then i might have been able to apply for a Russell group uni,so resiting english should be the same.

Thats my problem with BTECS as they are disregarded by some people and you get looked down upon as a non academic student-this should not be the case as BTECS provide a different way of learning. I must say though must people studying BTECS probably copy and paste their coursework so its not original from them.
