Guess your grades

There's a lot more demand for women in engineering, both courses are very good though! and yes, planning on doing medicine aha... despite my weak GCSEs, I think i've got a fair amount of stuff to compensate. And I'll study wherever, pretty much every uni that does medicine is Russell group.

The thing with medicine is that it really does not matter which university you go- you are going to end up at NHS anyways. But, I really am planning to get into investment banking and therefore prestige in a uni is really important.

Okay, I'm planning to study at Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar for my A-levels, but you need 7 A*-C which in reality isn't that difficult to achieve...

So here are my predictions on what I think I might have, including the ones I have already achieved.

English Literature: A/A*
English Language: A*
History: A*
Religious Studies: A* (I'll be surprised if I didn't get this because I consistently got A's in my mocks)
Citizenship: A*
French: A
Additional Science: A
ICT: A
Maths: B/A (I really don't know, I'll be happy with a B but knowing this year the grade boundaries might be lowered)
Statistics: B
Law: B (or even possibly a C, I basically did 4 humanities subjects and I took Law as an extra. I'm praying for a B at least)
Graphics: B/C
Core Science: B/C (If my coursework is fine)

So in total, what I'm hoping for is: 5 A*'s, 4 A's and 4 B's
Realistically, I could achieve:

4 A*'s, 3 A's, 2 B's and 3 C's :frown:

I think I did pretty well in the Graphics exam (possibly an A), but you need good coursework to push it to an A*. I was pretty lazy doing my coursework, and I think in total I either got a C or D as my marks. Will it help push it up to a B overall if you made up for it in your exam by getting an A?
Let me start by making it clear that I have predicted As in all of my subjects, despite getting 7/7 a*s (including 4 full UMSs) in my Year 10 modules. I hate my teachers...

Want:
As many A*s as possible :colondollar:

Expect:

Maths: A* (already obtained)
English Language: A...*?
English Literature: A*
Biology: A*
Chemistry: A*
Physics: A*
Spanish: A*
History: A
Business Studies: A*
Latin: Hopefully A*

Let me also make it clear that I spent more time revising for History than all of the other subjects combined, despite having 9 other subjects and sitting my first AS Maths module this year. And I revised for History even in the Year 10 summer holidays. And in every holiday/half-term from then on. And made a complete book of thorough notes. And did tonnes of past paper questions. And learnt my notes pretty much literally word for word (I can only memorise things word for word these days for some reason). Yeah....

P.S. I still struggle to comprehend how people find French and Spanish so difficult. Spanish was the one exam (well, two) I didn't revise for at all. Seriously, every question is just ticking boxes and filling in the blanks. Someone who had never done Spanish did one of our mocks with us for a laugh and she passed.
I'm going to be the dumb student of the thread, just to make everyone else feel better about their grades:

English Language - B
English Literature - C
Mathematics - C
Science - C
Additional Science - C
ICT - C
Geology - C
Citizenship - C
Religious Studies - D
History - D
Geography - E
PE - E
HOPING:
Maths: A
English Language: A
English Literature: A
Biology:A*
Chemistry: A*
Physics: A*
History: A
Resistant Materials: B
French:C
ICT: Distinction.
R.E: A

Expecting:

Maths: B
English Language: B
English Literature: B
Biology:B
Chemistry: A*
Physics: A
History: B
Resistant Materials: B
French: D
ICT: Distinction
R.E: B

Goodluck guys hope you all get the result you want. Can't wait to get stuck into A-levels.:smile::smile:
Would like:

English Language - A
English Literature - B
Maths - A*
Core Science - B
Additional Science - A
RE Short Course -A*
ICT - A*A
Geography - A
German - A
RE Long Course - B
Business - B

Expected

English Language - A. Coursework worth 40% was all A's and I got an A* in my mock so hopefully I got at least an A on the exam
English Literature - B. 25% is a low A from coursework, first exam went pretty well but the second exam could've been a lot better.
Maths - FINAL GRADE: A. A in Unit 1, A* in Unit 2 which was 2 off full marks but B in Unit 3, idk what happened, I thought I did better. I did early entry.
Core Science - FINAL GRADE: B. Did awful in my coursework and got a D, but made up for it in the exams. I sat this in Year 10
Additional Science - A/B. I find Science unpredictable, either I do very good or very bad.
ICT - A*A. Need a Distinction in the two modules that are being moderated to get it
RE Short Course - A*. Sailed through the exam despite AQA putting in 5 markers that no one knew about, would be slightly disappointed if I got lower because of how well I thought it went.
Geography - A/B. Unit 1 was awful, I think I still passed but everyone around the country did with Edexcel. Unit 2 went well, along with Unit 3. My coursework is a low A* also, so there might still be a chance of getting an A despite Unit 1 unless the grade boundaries are lowered; that exam knocked my confidence so much.
German - A/B. 60% of coursework at an A, now it depends what I got on the exams. Hopefully I get As in both exams as well.
RE Long Course - A/B. Found the two Christianity exams alright, the first Judaism exam went so well whilst the second went alright.
Business - B/C. Coursework worth 25% is an A*, although I struggle on the exams. Well, I found Unit 1 went well but grade boundaries are so high due to it being multiple choice, Unit 3 was awful. Didn't have a clue what to write in the 10 markers as we never learned anything about them in class and some questions came up that we didn't learn either.

yes it is, they work out an average for your best 8 subjects... so your best 8 would be 3A* and 5As this would be averaged at an A overall... as long as you get above 8 As

Oh your one is definitely different from my one... my one is just that you need at least 8 A grades with these to include the subs you want to take to A level... Its different for most other sixth forms then i guess, your one is quite strict from the sounds of it  good luck!
