We're the quiet, philosophical type. I think that's a good place to be, personally. I was quite struck by parts of the description on this page (http://www.truity.com/intp): "NTPs are typically precise in their speech, and communicate complex ideas with carefully chosen words. They insist on intellectual rigor in even the most casual of conversations, and will readily point out inconsistencies of thought or reasoning. Social niceties may fall by the wayside for an INTP who is more interested in analyzing logic, and they may offend others by submitting their dearly held values and beliefs to logical scrutiny" is the best description I've ever heard of me in my life!
I've learned to bite my tongue and not sweat the small stuff.

It is accurate about my obsession with strategy games, though!

Also this: 'Logical and analytical, they can weigh possibilities endlessly and are great at playing devil’s advocate.'

Playing devil's advocate is my favourite game. :getmecoat:

I try not to sweat the small stuff but I do find it very difficult - I find conversations with most people quite dull because people would rather talk about boring day-to-day stuff when I would rather talk about stuff like Metaphysics and Anarcho-syndicalism .

That's where you and I differ, I'm afraid - I'm too much of a daydreamer to be at all strategic

    INTJ

I = Introverted - this means you 'recharge' by being alone.

N = iNtuitive - How you relate/perceive to the world. You gather information by relating it to theories and wider contexts, rather than going on whats immediately before you

T = Thinking - This is how you make decisions. 'Thinking' means that you make decisions based on logic, rather than on your emotions/how you feel.

J = Judging - this gets a bit more complicated and I'm not sure I fully understand how to explain it.

Essentially it has to do with how you show others the way in which you relate to the world.

So as you're Judging, you'll show others whether you are a thinking or feeling person.

INTJ, as usual. For anybody wanting to extract any additional information about their personality type (or for those who don't find their type's descriptions to be accurate), I advise looking into cognitive functions which is what MBTI is based on. For example, cognitive functions explain why I, as an INTJ, am outwardly rational (due to my extraverted thinking function) yet privately far more emotionally charged (due to my tertiary introverted feeling function), unlike INFJs who are outwardly warm yet when allowed to be alone and introspective, can be highly rational.

Cognitive functional stacks are more difficult to understand than mere type descriptions (which tend to be a little too horoscope-y for my liking) but they are highly useful for understanding your behavioural patterns.

I can't find that on the page :dontknow: but i also disagree with it, i'm a bit of a perfectionist so small details get to me sometimes.

Yeah, it talks a lot about the Arts and creativity  which is slightly true for me. Maybe you're an extra special INFJ

The parts where it says we're complicated but don't show it much, i agree a lot with that.

I agree that i'm caring and sensitive, but i don't think i *appear* that way which it keeps saying, i'm pretty sure i come off as a bit of a **** :dontknow:
