# A levels - 90% A2 but A grade overall watch

1. (Original post by Meeka96)
You can't average them out you need to have 90%+ in both of the papers. 90+90 is an A* but 100 + 80 isn't.
Over 90% in A* each exam , for AS you could get...anything really. I got ADA*A* and it still gave my an A* for one of my subject ,despite of a D
This is totally false. I got an A* in A level classical civilisation with about 98% in one A2 module and about 84% in the other.

I think this has been established already, but, OP, you should get an A* with those scores.
2. If you get 90% at A2 then it is not possible to get an A. It would either be a B or lower (assuming AS was terrible) or an A*. There is no way in which you could have received an A. Based on what you said, it should defo be an A*

My AS I averaged (84+70)/2 = 77% in UMS
A2 I averaged (97+86)/2 = 91.5% in UMS

Both together I averaged = 84.25% in UMS

I'm not Somali and I was just curious as to why I was misinformed.
6. This is odd, you need an A overall (over 80%) in everything which you clearly have

the A* is 90% average NOT 90% in both modules, so it does look like you should get an A*

But... are these modules out of 100?

That's not right, it's 90 average

OP, unless there's another module you haven't mentioned I'm pretty darn sure you should have an A*

Yes, all out of 100 UMS

Why not try to ring the exam board or your exams officer or your subject teacher?

My exam board going to send an aggregated transcript. I'll call my exam officer again, on Monday.
