I haven't read the article or any official documents but lets assume what has been said is true.
There is no way this would turn out better for doctors. Lets be honest, they love bending us over and ripping us up.
Examples for this are the pay freezes. I read in the BMA that FY1 salaries should have been 31,000 pounds now (inflation and stuff)
They will probably release some BS saying "WE HAVE INCREASED DOCTORS SALARY" without saying the new working conditions this will involve (nights,weekend etc). And probably some clever guy thought of something knew how they can push even more unpaid overtime hours on doctors.... which will ultimately work out to an even lower pay/hour.
How will this affect training too? Its just so much to worry about.

I will be applying for the 2016 foundation programme. Whilst money isn't the main driver in choosing where I work, it is one consideration. With this in mind, does anyone have an idea of the proposed timeline for introducing these changes? Will they be bringing this in tandem with the shape of training reforms?
