Messi will just drop further back as he ages. Can already see his vision is absolutely superb. Could see him moving into an Iniesta type role once he gets on in age.

Feels quite sad tbh that he has seemed to have lost a bit of that youthful explosiveness. Less of a monster now, more a cultured animal that can kill other teams in more ways than even before. 31 goals this season though, still unnaturally effective.

Neymar is pretty much a sure thing. Pogba looking like he will be one. The rest is far too early to say.

Him and Ronaldo have sacrificed that part of their game for being ruthless but extremely efficient players. Not as pleasing on the eye but more effective.

Messi will still be in there guaranteed.

    Hopefully Halilovic will be too

Far from guaranteed. A lot can happen in 4 years.

Barring a career ending injury, no there really isn't a lot that can happen.

Even if he loses his pace or stops scoring goals, he'll still be one of the best playmakers in the world

    Courtois.
    Carvajal, Boateng, Zouma, Alaba
    Matic, Kroos
    Messi
    Hazard, Neymar, Bale.

    Bench

De Gea, Jose Giménez, Koke, Azpilicueta, James Rodríguez, Sturridge, Aguero.

You people are forgetting the ages of some of these players so are putting unrealistic FM style squads, in 4 years time the likes of Messi aren't going to decline to the level that they are no longer World 11 material, plus even if they did they will still get into the squad like Iniesta and Xavi were doing year in year out even when the likes of Pirlo deserved it more. I was undecided on a few. Wondered whether Javi Martinez would be in the squad. Zouma will be starting for Chelsea, one of the best defensive outfits in europe so he's a shoe in.

Honourable mentions to Neuer, Gotze, Thiago, Isco, Varane, Coutinho, Pogba, Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Ronaldo, Thomas Mueller and Romelu Lukaku.

I take Ronaldo out of this list because he is starting to lose a little bit of his pace, he's moving into the centre as a second striker but Ronaldo doesn't have the all round game playing the ball to really thrive in that role a the age of 34. Ronaldo will decline. He'll end up being a Drogba type player near the end of his career, world class in his own right, gamewinner but just not good enough for the world 11.

This. Messi will be in the squad simply because he has so much to his game. He's not going to lose his pace at 32 either unless he gets an ACL.

Guy has the passing ability of Iniesta, amazing dead ball specialist, great dribbler. There's no way he wouldn't be in the first 11, unless James Rodriguez e.g. turns out to be this 20-30 goalscoring midfielder.

Like which players? Only current World XI players which can arguably be world beaters in 4 years time are Messi, Neuer and Kroos.

Zouma does not look like he will be one of the best CB's in the world in 4 years time. Halilovic is too raw. Rabiot same as Zouma.
Probably didn't make it clear but it should be people who have shown that their talent can get them to a world XI place in 4 years time.

So you think that in 4 years time somebody we have not heard much of will emerge and earn a spot in the World XI team? Only Ronaldo is mabye capable of doing that. (Messi was known from a younger age more so count him out).

Also none of those players you mentioned deserve to be in the starting World XI.
Lol Zouma has the makings of a world class CB, the guy is left to dry with a dodgy right back who's out of position most of the time (as is Cahill) and just played in two of the highest profile ties he could possibly play this season, making important interceptions in the process and not looking out of place. Given time under Mourinho he's easily going to be a top 3 CB in the world. Considering how dire the CB situation is that John Terry is still the best CB in the prem.

Bare in mind that it took Varane a season and a half to become acclimatised as a top CB, and even nowadays he's looking dodgy under Ancelotti due to the lack of playing time, his ball control is dodgy under pressure compared to Ramos and Pepe which is why Ancelotti doesn't pick him as first choice. Zouma has come in his first season at a top european club to fill in high profile games with a manager who is not known for giving younger players a chance. From what it looks like he has every making to be a top CB.

Zouma is one of the most black players I have ever seen. Nwakaeme would be proud.

Hmmm, fair enough that you put it that way, Boateng, Messi, would probably still be on top of their game, not completely sure about Kroos personally though. Way to hard to predict though.

Yeah. Kroos is playing as a DLP though, which Pirlo has shown as well as Gerrard last season that you can play at a world class level to your mid 30s with ease.

He's got the passing of Xavi in his prime and has a great work rate to boot.

I know. I was just saying why it's very unlikely for Kroos not to be in the first 11 unless Koke e.g. makes a giant step up.

Tough decision between him and Koke, but Koke is a better technical player and I'm biased towards Matic.

Name what you think the World's best XI will be in 4 years time, Should be based on talent shown by the individuals already. Here's mine:
    Hazard Neymar Bale
    Messi
    Pogba Thiago
    Alaba Boateng Varane Azi
    De Gea
(Bench: Courtois, Shaw, Laporte, Carvajal, Verratti, Gotze, Depay. Isco, Reus)
1 year later, 3 more to go bro's

    Muller should be on bench.
Lol Azi should not be there.
Verratti will make the XI is Hazard doesn't step up in the next year.
I think I'd like to swap Depay for Martial looool

Far too attacking I know, but I can't help myself:

    De Gea
    Alaba - Hummels - Varanne - Carvajal
    Pogba
    Messi - Rodriguez
    Aguero - Neymar - Lukaku

Loads of good Germans on the bench: Kroos, Draxler, Goetze, Mueller...Damn, that country could dominate for a long time!

Not sure what's more funny, the fact the fullbacks are the wrong way or the spelling of Varane
