England are going to win the tournament now. It's so obvious, no one can compete with this powerhouse

And just like that, the commentator said he's only got 49 goals to beat Bobby Charltons record

Well done Kane though, hope he'll bang them in for England for years to come.

Sterling injury hopefully. Hopefully out for two weeks.

Liverpool turn up to Arsenal without Sturridge, Sterling, Lallana, Gerrard, Skirtel..

And we somehow still bottle it

Back from Wembley. There was no real indication of England's progress due to the nature of the opposition, of course, but it was wonderful to see Harry Kane shut a few haters up and bag one so quickly.

Rooney was absolutely brilliant tonight I thought. His leadership was second to none. He's a very vocal leader, which I didn't actually realise watching United. Not in a Paul Ince kind of way, either, which is refreshing. He isn't on at any player or constantly smacking somebody up the arse. Instead, he's constructive and helps players find themselves positionally. It's good to see, especially considering Gerrard (as much as I love him) is typically a player to focus on his own game rather than the team as a whole/teammates.

Henderson disappointed me as a Liverpool fan. He wasn't up to his usual standard for club, but I thought Sterling was excellent throughout. Finally scored, too. That'll do him the world of good going forward for country. Welbeck was consistent and accomplished, too. He's a much finer goalscorer for country than club. Top scorer in qualifying.

Oh, and Phil Jones is absolutely rubbish.
