5. I got Length DC/DB, because DC is perpendicular to AB and therefore makes a right angle, but there was no guarantee that AC was perpendicular to AB.

yes that's correct. but i didn't know how to simplify my final answer .

Thanks for the reassurance ! And I think I simplified it to 1 over the square root of two

13. Yup I got x=40 too. I thought the question was alright! Makes a nice change from the usual C1 questions

15. I had x=40 and put it back into the L equation to get L=80 is that correct? Or was I just meant to leave it after solving X

I had root 20 over root 90 but I simplified it wrong! But think that is ac/ab

20. what were the ranges for q5? for the one where you needed to find the range of no real root values?
