Thankyou good sir! Looks like I'm on my way to 100% Funnily enough I enjoyed this paper much more than the c1 one. I suppose I was helped by a lot of extra time from a fire alarm going off.

For question 2a I didn't draw a number line thing.
    would it actually matter?
I only did x and plugged in for f(x)

Q7 - yes you'd lose a mark (As the question specified coordinates(See other markschemes))
4C) you'd get full marks for that dont worry(Thats all they wanted)
You'd have to check old markschemes, but I'd say 3 if you at least attempted k+1 if not probs only 2
    Thanks a lot mate!

Ive never even seen the number line way before, we were taught in a table. But i just do it as f(x) and the markscheme says thats all you need

I think the FP1s from EDEXCEL have been a true joke.

That changed last June, when the paper was about right (59 for an A if I am not mistaken)
This paper I think is also ok (ever so slightly easier)

Your follow-through mark does depend on the marking scheme which will be produced after the provisional marking based on a sample.
What happens during/after the provisional marking?

Did we have to put co-ordinates on the imaginary graph (z1, z2, z1+z2), or just draw correctly and label. Also, on the last part of the last question, I did 3+3pq instead of 3-3pq and squared and obviously could prove the answer to be true, would I loose 2 marks or 1 for that, in other words, in 8b) what were the marks for?

do you need to put sign change indicates root for interval bisection or does the table I used suggest that?

What happens during/after the provisional marking?
the provisional marking scheme is already made.

You mark a sample first and report any potential problems.

then you change it according to what is fair, usually in response to how the students have approached certain questions.

then the final marking scheme is actioned.
