I've seen shops with decorations and Christmas trees up but, surprisingly, not seen any Christmas adverts yet. Some people I know have already done their Christmas shopping! Have you? How do you feel about Christmas?

Sometimes I think if we start celebrating it too early, I'm fed up of it by Christmas day!

On a side note, TSR has loads of Christmas emoticons! :holmes:

For me, Christmas starts on the 5th of November with all the fireworks - I just start to feel festive. And then there is no other holiday in between, so it feels allowed.

There's someone who has her Christmas tree up already. it's far too early I think. However, it's not too early imo, to thnk about what to buy people. Given how difficult some of us are to buy for.

I def don't think it's too early for thinking about buying presents in regards to I only have one paycheck left before Christmas so ideally I would have liked to have started buying presents about 2 paychecks ago to save me diving into my overdraft that I have just climbed out of.

    Never happens though.

Christmas cheer wise I think the run-up to Christmas is the best bit so I'm not bothered by advertising etc. I'm always disappointed by boxing day that it's over so quickly.

I start to think about Christmas when Halloween is over, then truely start getting into the Christmas spirit once Fireworks Night has passed...

Agreed! Although, depending on my timetable, I get more time off at Easter

Hmm, when is it acceptable to start wearing Christmas jumpers? I managed to snag one from Topman for £5 the other week, and I want to be able to wear it eventually

Inside? Yes! In public? Hmm... maybe mid November when Christmas lights are on etc. that's when I'll probably start listening to Christmas songs

I spoke too soon about not seeing any ads, they're everywhere now!

The lights are turned on this week in town, which seems early but I guess it fits in with markets and Christmas shopping

So true! I always have a bet with my family when they'll start selling them, and it was the start of January last year!

I think we saw some just after new year this year. I wonder how many had a best before that was before Easter?

I've done most of my Christmas shopping already, but that's because I recently got back from a holiday where I did a lot of the shopping. Otherwise I wouldn't have been so organised in getting them done by now.
