I haven't had anything beyond a notification of receipt for my application. Should I be worried?

Still haven't heard anything from them yet either.... The only thing that keeps appearing in my email are random ones they send to everyone. If you're gonna reject me, please stop with this torment of false hope

What can you expect from interviews in terms of questions?

    Hi Everyone,

I'm a third year Mechanical Engineer at imperial, I'd be happy to help with any questions you guys have!

As far as interviews go, the question depends on your interviewer! They will most likely ask you something related to the field of their research and will have a deep passion for it, something you will need to try and show too!

My interviewer specialised in biomechanics, something I now want to study further, and had shown me a replacement elbow joint asking me to describe it. I had no idea, but I tried to use my current knowledge to work out whatever i could - think out loud! - beginning by eliminating elements from the periodic table, so on and so forth.

Show enthusiasm and a creative approach to problem solving - it's what Engineers do and it is what they will look for!

Remember there are numerous research fields at Imperial, so the question I got is probably one of hundreds asked. Prepare your approach to answering questions more than anything.

I hope this helps! And Goodluck!

Hi! I Have a few questions,

    1. How did you cope with the workload in your first year, is it tough like everyone says, does it ease in the next few years?

    2. How is the social life at imperial, are there many parties and clubs that people from the uni go to or does everyone just work?

    3. Is the ratio really that bad in the mech eng course and the uni in general?

    4. How many people are allowed to go to the US in their final year?

Is there help on offer academically wise if you were to fall behind for example?

    Thanks in advance!

I really don't know what to think of mine..I got some pretty simple questions but still needed quite a bit of help to solve them 😂 Not optimistic about an offer at all. What about you?
When you went for your interview was everyone wearing suits/really smart or was it more casual?

    Anyone can answer btw

Just got an interview yesterday for Wednesday the 17th of February, bit worried about the super-short notice, but fingers crossed! If I've already got A*A*A, but have A*A*A*A* predicted, does anyone know that if they do give an offer, if they'll be more likely to give a conditional being 3A*+ or would be happy with what I have and go unconditional? Are offers more that A*A*A common? Many thanks and good luck everyone

When I went for my interview they said their typical offer is A*A*A, but if you do 4 A Levels is A*AAA, so I doubt they'll ask for that high

The offer I got was AAA (Scottish student so you can't make a direct comparison) but I sit 4 subjects and was expecting a requirement for them all, so there is a chance you could be given an unconditional.
