Look at it this way, as I do.
For the first year of your life, unable to walk, you have to go where you are taken. For the first 2 years of you life you can't talk so all you can do is listen. For the first 14/15/16/17 years of you life you hardly choose your own meals/clothes/holidays etc. For the next 50 years (after the token "eat what you like") you have to get up before it's light for 6 months a year and go to a job all year that chooses the hours and holiday periods for you. And then you retire. With an active old age you have, on average, 20 years of total, utter freedom. Then, sadly, you decline and maybe even go back to what it was like for the first 5 or 6 years of your life.
That 20 years seems bliss does it not?
