    No, for many reasons:

    1) Think of the fact that you'd have to watch every single person you'd ever meet die.
    2) The body will still age and tbh living in a care home for eternity doesn't sound appealing
    3) The fact life is so short is what makes it so great - screw the concept of an afterlife or a ''pill to make you live forever'', the fact we only have a finite amount of time is what drives people towards achieving great things. Eternity would simply harbour procrastination and laziness.

it would be horrible to watch everyone you've ever loved die i don't even want to outlive my kids haha. and i wouldn't want to live forever without any possibility to socialise either, so it's a no either way

I think that I would, as I would be able to do everything that wanted without being constrained by time and could see all of the changes which will be happening in the future which would be good

The only downside is that things could get boring but that wouldn't be for a very long time

The whole concept of the afterlife and living for eternity used to excite me when I was a young girl but now the whole idea of living for eternity, not only confuses me but it doesn't sound very satisfying to me anymore. And if I was giving the chance to live in a paradise for ever i doubt i would be entirely happy there anyway. The idea that I would be doing pretty much the same thing daily would suck the life out of me and would bring no meaning in life. I guess that having a limited time in life gives us motivation to fufil your dreams in a given time?

So, what do you think of living for eternity?
No, I hate the thought of living forever. Christian heaven sounds super boring and Islamic heaven sounds like an orgyfest for men while women sit around waiting for their turn because God created it only with the men in mind.

Pastafarian heaven is no good either; I never liked hookers.

Leave me in the ground, thanks.

No if it means watching all of those I love die before me.

Yes off course, but only if I could get a completely new identity every few years.

    Not at all.
A few years back I wished for death before turning 30. I may not wish for that anymore, but I still wouldn't want to live forever.

You think darkness is your ally. You've merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it...

Definitely. If I could have anything I wanted, it would be immortality. I would just spend my time mastering everything, among other things.

If my body stays as is, my family wife and children also live forever, then sure why not.
Without family if my body stays as is i'd still probably want to just to see how it all ends.
If I get old, well i'd rather die tomorrow than live old.

I'm puzzled by both the question and the outcome of the poll.

"Eternity" is a heckuva long time. Nobody knows what that would mean, or means. Is the universe finite in historical length? Would it all just peter out into nothingness? Unclear.

On the way the poll is going, I assume what people are really voting on is "do you want to die any time soon?". Surely the truth is that nobody would?

whoaaah.... there would be some very real practical implications... one would continue to accumulate rep points and hence gems. although the spacing of gem thresholds increases this would not matter if one lived indefinitely on TSR... there would in time be no room to display one's gems :holmes:

I suspect TSR might expire considerably before the heat death of the cosmos. Even with the best ISP hosting contracts.
