    Which do you deny?

If he had missed out the Hitler bit people would have gone mad over Napoleon, if he had simply said the romans people would have gone mad about the empire, if he said republic people would probably still somehow be mad

Hitler wanted one great German state. The European Union wants a a collection of each and every individual states working together, keeping their statehood.

Bringing hitler into the debate is laughable.

Just admit like Cameron, what he said was stupid. Playing the hitler card is never a good idea. Stop being so sensitive and just admit that people on your side can say idiotic things too.

So one great German state spanning much of Europe is not a unified European state?

The EU does not want one unified state. It does not advocate or want to strip countries of their statehood.
You can argue this on a tecnhincality all you like but it was a stupid comment.

If we accept he's right (which he is not), what does it prove? What's his point? That the EU is like Hitler? That it will commit a genocide of Europe's Jews and homosexuals? What's his point?

Any mention of Hitler is loaded and anyone is naive to think otherwise.

That it is doomed to fail because the prosperity of Europe is due to its differences and its nation state structure. The differing cultures and languages prevent effective unity in a single state.

It so badly doesn't want to be unified that those at the top, in with those at the top, and those have been at the top see it as the natural conclusion

It's so not happening despite the history of the EU has been one of gradually assimilating control of its members

But it's never going to be one state.

But what's the point of the Hitler reference? Even if you say its factually true, why bring hitler into this?

You seem to be quite sensitive. When Cameron warns of world war if we leave you laugh at how pathetic it is. But when Boris warns of Hitler if we stay, you try and show on some strange technicality that it was correct.

There was no need to play the Hitler card.

It's about Hillary defending as a lawyer a child rapist she knew was guilty, and blaming the victim.
